A fox's offgrid farming adventure! And other random kerfuffles.
Sludge! What remains after the centrifuge shuts down.
About 5 hours of runtime, very slow feed rate for maximum dwell time in the centrifuge bowl. 1/8 inch thick layer of sludge. Pulled the vast majority of sludge out yesterday and then dumped it back into the feed tank for reprocessing. Correction: 12 liters not 5 in the yellow jug.

Left jar is dirty unprocessed, right jar is single pass on the centrifuge. Milky/Cloudy in the left jar, right is no longer milky and is slightly less dark.

WVO Designs centrifuge. Finally got it set back up and making fuel again. I bought it a number of years ago to make fuel for my VW diesel, did over 30K kms with 75%oil/25% diesel, even in winter. Now it's for the generator and once set up, the oil powered burner for heating. Solar power is running it to make my fuel for the cloudy/rainy days and cold months ahead. Woo!

I found Onyx passed away this morning. I saw no injuries so I'm not sure what happened, though we heard some noises outside at about 4 or 5 am which may have been related. Some of his bones will be added to a special box of bone I keep, they are the bones of my loved animals (4 legged family members). -Coco cat -Little Pebble that passed away during nursing -Unknown kitty found in my scrap van....

A visit to the birds yard and coop. lots of commotion and then I pulled an accidental Winston (AdvChina) ending and cut myself off 😆 The baby silkies are still inside the brooder as they are much too small to be outside yet.

AWWW HI TOPAZ AND JET!! I had 3 kittens that same DEEP BLUE as Jet, but without the lil stripes once! I still have their mommy and adopted them to good homes! She looks almost identical to Ash (the mommy) when she was a baby

Baby Bear is getting very comfy here. Last night Peppurr and Bear were sharing a plate of food, Bear was nuzzling up with Peppurr and then went for a snooze in a foam shelter I made for them on the porch. All friendly kitties and animals are welcome here 😊

Lol most definitely! We had a really cold morning a few days ago and they refused to go outside, just took a few steps down the walkway and turned around haha.

An update: Raccoon has been back twice, damaged the aluminum sheeting on the baby birds area, dug up all around the coop fencing, hurt Peppurr cat again, and killed 3 more cluckabirds..😢 Raccoon was finally dealt with this morning permanently. It's both unfortunate and relieving, but at least the yard and its inhabitants will be a bit safer.
Oh noes 😮 I'm glad just in the sense that they won't hurt the cute little cluckies, but oh no 😢
Boulder had a rough night. 😢
Boulders has been visiting recently, ho leg wound has been healing up and is no longer open. He's tough as a Boulder lol.
