FT can tax more than singaporean...singaporean after deduct here deduct there...tax to government is much lesser...so who will the government choose to employ ?
Have we learned NOTHING from the recent Crowdstrike incident? Time to return to BASIC - to rely on HUMAN IQ and EQ than NON-HUMAN AI
AI is like nuclear. The consequences depends on WHOSE HANDS it falls into. God give us wisdom.
Now that the weakest link is identified....
Not much "intelligence" in Parliament if the government is not open and transparent. Also, there is no public accountability.
SkillsFuture is useless for two reasons. First, there is a bias against elderly workers - ageism. Second, there will always be a "cheaper" no CPF foreigner he will get the job. Heng Swee Keat is naive. The government likely gave a lot ($4000) because it knew most of it will not be used.
The justification for death sentence in drug trafficking is due to the impact it affects those involved and also to act as deterrent. Base on that logic and the jail sentences of the convicts, money laundering doesn't have that much impact to society and no need much deterrence.
Good job Mr Jamus Lim... kudos
Why were names of the local sg directors not revealed
When is WP going to formally announce a coalition pact with PSP to form the next government in the upcoming GE? This is no point raising so many PQs until WP has a simple majority. WP is better off making publications in your own sites rather than in Parliament. At least, you don't face direct criticism by PAP outside Parliament.
Singapore costs are too high. Our salaries are too high. We have to do very stressful jobs to survive. Adultery becomes common. This is the price we pay.
Life is very stressful. We are a matured economy. Very difficult to sustain growth. Once you are 40+, be prepared to lose your job and be self employed
How is JL still not promoted to be S-G of the WP? He is clearly the more capable candidate in the party. WP had a chance to go for real change, but instead chose similar approach to PAP. PAP-lite indeed. What a disappointment.
The Committee called Singh as a witness, and said later he had not been truthful during the hearings while under Oath. Leader of the Opposition and Workers' Party chief Pritam Singh was charged on March 19 with two counts of lying to a Parliamentary Committee, two years after the police opened investigations into his conduct before the Committee of Priveleges.

Sylvia lim of WP has been found guilty of misusing $33M ahtc fund. She is still in WP. WP probably can't survive without her. She is so talented.😂😂

So now, it's that simple.! A foreigner comes to SGP, conducts money laundering and any other monetary crimes.! As long as not being caught, will continue to commit the crimes.! And when being caught, those criminals will be deported at any country of their choice.! Do you means we don't know what we don't know and no noose does not mean no bad noose?
As a lawyer Sylvia Lim should know the deportee can go to any country that their passport allows them to enter. It is an deportation, not an extradition.
I think what Sylvia Lim was asking if they were given some kind of privilege to choose which country they want to deport to since they are holding multiple passports.
@@johnnyquest6894 Poor choice of words by Sylvia Kim. If they were entitled to go to any country that their passport allows this is not a "privilege". It is a "right". Sylvia Kim should know better.

❤Has or has WP not raised a PQ for the many hdb lift Breakdowns? 1. Auditable Data for all hdb lifts over the last 20 years or longer. 2. Which estates or lift has the worst number of breakdowns? In my block, lift is perceivably broken down 30 to 50 times a year. 3. What brands breakdown the most? Which maintenance contractor is or is not earning from these repairs? Who are these business operators? Not my "close friends" for sure. No conflict of interest. 4. Where is the due diligence to solve this fck ups? 5. How much has been spent on all hdb lift breakdowns? 6. Is there a growing trend in fk ups over the past 30 years? While lift breakdowns can be repaired quite fast, many who go to work never realise some of the lifts are so fk up. Those most affected are the elderlies .
WP needs to take measure for a complete makeover. From leadership renewal to changes in party manifesto. WP is here to represent Singaporeans in Parliament, not to take punches from PAP over and over again in court and in Parliament. It is time for new leaders to step up with the intention of forming a coalition government by partnering other opposition parties.
