Don’t fall into the trap of fancy ads with the celebrities whereas the reality with the common people is entirely opposite. Detailed review below. Dubai tour December 2023.: We have booked family private trip with GT holidays to dubai. The tour is a nightmare which we would like to remove from our memories. Here is the reason. GT holidays has outsourced our trip to another agency. We suffered lot of hurdles at dubai in terms of hotel booking, tour scheduling and missing commitments at dubai travel operator. For all these hurdles, GT holidays dont have control on these and lot of follow ups are needed to get the support from GT holidays during the tour. The return flight got cancelled by the emirates, and there are no support from GT holidays to get the alternate flight. We tried to reach GT holidays from Dubai multiple times but no enough support. So we stranded at dubai with our family and no support on hotel to stay and alternate return flight. So i have arranged my own return air travel to india with our own effort. After the trip, i have asked GT holidays to refund the return flight , but no answer or response for 2 weeks. So when i started investigation with their sales team, the tour co-ordinator and others, i got the confirmation that my tour was outsourced to another operator called "D holidays" which was never told by GT holidays, until i investigated on my own. And "D holidays" outsourced to the local tour operator at Dubai called "Trip Shapers" We have discussed this issue to multiple levels of GT holidays, since there are no action from them, we have escalated to the CEO karthik and even no response for many weeks. Since the return flight fare has not refunded for 3 weeks, I was on my own to do multiple follow ups and negotiations with "D holidays" and got partial refund in 2 instalments. Since "GT holiday"s and "D holidays" couldn't share the details on refund and disagree to provide the complete refund, i have raised the grievances with government department of tourism. Appreciate the prompt action by our tourism department, which made their executive director Sathish kumar to call us and he agreed to solve this issue within a day. The day become week and after multiple follow and negotiations, GT holiday paid the 3rd installment of refund, which is not the agreed amount and didnt make the complete return fare refund. Again after follow up, their Executive direct Sathish committed to close this within a week. But now after a wait for a week, no response and failed to commit to their words. So, after 50 days of our trip, still the return flight refund is not complete. And the root cause for all these problem is they have outsourced to another travel agency so GT holidays is not in control of air tickets and even the tour co-ordination. Now i didn't stop my fight, proceeding with next step with appellate and legal proceedings to get the refund along with the penalty for mental stress and interest for the delayed refund. So i never recommend GT holidays because of their outsourced model, missing transparency, failed commitments even from their highest management level. Don’t fall into the trap of fancy ads with the celebrities whereas the reality with the common people is entirely opposite.
