TOOL - (Part of) Stinkfist and waving goodbye - Cologne/Germany, 18th of June 2024
I know, this one‘s crap. It‘s just the last notes of Tool‘s Stinkfist on the 18th of June 2024 in the Lanxess Arena of Cologne/Germany. This clip features the band waving goodbye to the crowd after a truly marvellous concert. Maybe some true Tool Aficionado will be interested in this, so I posted it while getting home from the concert - still flashed about what I saw.

I‘ve seen Queens Of The Stone Age quite often in the past 20 years, and they never dissapointed me. Their gig in Düsseldorf/Germany on 11/11/23 was magical. This band is so tight live, I really wonder why they even go to the studio to record albums. They just could do it live. 😉 And this time Josh has been very chatty and affable, he even surfed the crowd. Something I‘ve never seen on a QOTSA gig.

Starlink Satellites moving over western Germany on 20th of April 2020 at around 21:50. Just some shitty Smartphone-Clips (saw them by instance, no timeto fetch any tripod or my SLR). Was there too not far from where you were sitting 😁 Concert was amazing! Nice vid 👍
Wir waren Block 616 und da war der Sound echt erträglich. Habe aber gehört, das in der Lanxess-Arena auch bei anderen Konzerten der Sound nicht so toll sein soll. Wie eigentlich in allen großen Arenen. Finde, der Sound ist auf "normalen" Bühnen einfach meist viel besser als in diesen Riesenhallen. Das Konzert war das eindrucksvollste Tool-Konzert, was ich erlebte, habe schon paar hinter mir, selbst wenn der Sound nicht perfekt war. Ein wirklich absolut göttliches, ja, transzendentales Gesamerlebnis von Musik, Visuals, Lichtern, Gesang. Ein Konzert, was ich lange nicht vergessen werde. Einfach nur sensationell geil.
3:24 Danny wirft das Ding und jemand fängt es aber kanns nicht ordentlich greifen und lässt es fallen. Problem ist dass derjenige auf der Tribüne war und das Teil auf den Boden fiel und er somit nicht mehr ran kam. Bitter. :C
ich war gegenüber im block 207, dort war der sound sehr schlecht und viel viel zu laut - es tat in den ohren weh, und ich bin selbst musiker und einiges gewohnt. wirklich schade... und das für über 150€ ist dass normal in der lanxess arena? hat jemand ähnliche erfahrungen gemacht?
Hab gehört und gelesen das der Klang da immer net sooo berauschend ist.wir waren oberrang 708. Ja da war der Klang auch net sooo berauschend. Ich wär so gern in den innenraum gegangen aber die preise sind ja hardcore gewesen...schade das ich 2006 nicht nach Luxemburg gefahren bin. Da spielten sie in der rockhal. Aber es sind einfach meister an ihren Instrumenten...vorallem carey...wahnsinn.... Ebenso bei der vorband. deren drummer war eine Bestie

Ich war im Sektor 306. Nach drei Liedern schickte ich meinen Freund nach Ohrstöpseln. Ich konnte es nicht ertragen, weil es so laut war. und Ohrstöpsel machten einen großen Unterschied.
@@toolica2 ich hab mir tempo ins ohr, dann war es zumindest nicht mehr unangenehmen... Live-Sound ist eben sehr komplex und nicht einfach reproduzierbar

Cool, ich habe mich am Ende des Videos entdeckt. Praktisch, wenn man als Einziger im weißen Hemd auf einem Konzert ist. ;) Das Konzert selbst war eine Wahnsinns-Erfahrung. Ich bin immer noch geflasht und hoffe, dass es vor Ihrer Rente nochmal auf Tour durch Europa geht.
Absolut....diese kranke lightshow und der hammer sound. Das war in der Tat kein Konzert, das war wie Maynard am Anfang sagte eine Reise. Ich hoffe auch, dass die nochmal kommen. Einzige Band, die ich jetzt mehrfach gesehen habe

Transzendentales Erlebnis. Nach 2006 und 2022, gestern das dritte Mal gesehen und ich würde sie mir auch ein viertes, fünftes Mal ansehen, selbst wenn sie kein neues Album in Petto haben. Das Zusammenspiel der Videoinstallationen und Lasershow mit der Musik ist unbeschreiblich.
Es gibt ja einige Bands, die bezüglich des Zusammenspiels zwischen Musik und Visuals richtig was abliefern aber Tool ist einfach eine ganz eigene Liga. Die Show vor zwei Jahren hat meinen Bruder und mich extrem weggehauen, da saßen wir rechts vor der Bühne in der dritten Reihe und es war eine nicht zu beschreibende Erfahrung! Gestern waren wir ziemlich mittig in der obersten Reihe vom Unterrang und konnten alles vor uns in vollem Ausmaß erleben. Es war, ich sag es mal so, "geordneter" aber gleichzeitig unfassbar gewaltig, weil man von dort aus das volle Ausmaß der Lightshow genießen durfte. Direkt vor der Bühne ist was ganz anderes... extrem überwältigend, man ist mitten drin, der Körper wird von den Frequenzen getragen, einfach unbeschreiblich intensiv! Stinkfist hab ich gestern auch gefilmt, ich glaube auch komplett. Falls Interesse besteht lade ich das Ding hoch!
@@ELPCustom Ich war ebenfalls im Unterrang genau gegenüber der Bühne, also vermutlich irgendwo unterhalb von deinem Platz, und empfand den Blick auf das gesamte Bühnenbild als sehr, sehr gut. Wie du schreibst, man sieht die Bühne als ganzes und erhält so die volle Wirkung aller Installationen, die supergut aufeinander abgestimmt sind. Würde mich freuen wenn du das Video ebenfalls hoch ladest!

Was lucky to be there. Josh doing his best Creation of Adam impression while crowdsurfing AND singing at the same time was freaking wild. Too bad I've decided to go sit down rather than stay in the crowd near the railings.

By far the lamest new “element” of this tour. Fortunately they’re still rad.
Thursday in Berlin they had to cut the set short (only 16 tracks, only Emotion Sickness & Carnavoyeur from In Times The Roman) and it took them a while between main set and encore due to him not feeling well. Glad to see him going strong again!!! 🔥
came to say this. I'm so jealous now seeing this now. they didn't play Straight Jacket as you said. why does düsseldorf deserve this and not us here in berlin :( still glad that we saw them live once again before something happens to the guy.
