Videos like this make me so upset that a) This car never got more off road kit from the factory, and never got a more active AWD system similar to quattro. b) This was around for one generation in North America then we lost it. We only got one engine choice and there weren't enough of these available. c) The MK8 golfs have that awful interior where all the basic controls are stuffed in the screen. I hate that to get any offroad vehicle now, you have to buy something overly tall and bulky, but simply lifting a wagon makes way more sense.

America’s love affair for CUVs, SUVs, and trucks killed the wagon. Such a shame. I really wanted a golf alltrak SEL, but my local dealer was charging way too much for it.

You need to upgrade your diverter valve that’s why you have a boost lag, go with GFB DV+ whole valve kit and you see a big difference also the car is going to be more fuel efficient
