I have the Maverick with the DLC accents. I like it okay, but mine needs help to close every time. Also, the thumb studs get easily caught in my pocket material, causing the blade to partially open when pulling it out. For that reason, I don’t carry it.
Thx for this
How hard is it to read the date being red in color?
It's pretty difficult. Under most indoor lighting conditions, it is almost a completely useless feature. It's a bit easier in sunlight, but even then it can be difficult. I'm definitely not catching it at a quick glance. IMO this is still the biggest drawback on this model. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I would understand if it was for others
@@technicianiv1776 yeah, I love the 1052 but good luck finding that one anymore as that had all the right colors to see perfectly. I have the Ronda colored one which is a beaut as well and easy to read which is important to me to see the date without pulling out my phone.
To much Dinero
Pricey for sure. Seems like it will hold up to a lifetime of use though so there's that
They made the buckle much more smaller ! 👍🏼 My Breitling SuperOcean HeritageI II got a Oman elastic strap in black/grey as shown in the video. The watch got a totally different, more vintage inspired look ! Today my favorite watch !!! Love it more than before - thanks to zuludiver !
Im doing the same. Buying USA.
I'll bet the hogue micro switch is powerful in that size.
I just did the SBR. I wear a suit at work. We get boxes at the branch. My friend owns blade ops, so I bought it. In a video, a kid was having problems cutting boxes. I didn't have any issue with the blade getting hung up on cardboard. Good recommendation. Thanks
Hola, really loved the straps, where you got them from ?
I think I'll buy one now. Thanks for your candid review and impressions. They also have a non-stretch strap option. I may order both in 22mm, and stick with the stiffer strap since I want to counterbalance a heavier Hamilton. Thanks again.
Horrible reviews all over the web for a $200 knife. I'm skittish.
My sample size is just the one. I can't speak to what others may have gotten or their experiences. Mine is just as solid as the day I bought it. No regrets.
Nice! Looks great on your wrist! I'm considering getting a Glycine myself! They have an excellent reputation within the watch community and even though Invicta purchased them the quality was not affected and they are still assembled in Switzerland. Thanks for a nice review!
Thanks for watching. If you get a Glycine, I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. I've put quite a bit more wear and tear on this one since this video, but it's still going strong.
Sweet looking watch!
Thanks
I just bought the brass ones from OG. Now I gotta wait till mid May. Very excited!
Should be nice, OG makes good stuff
I'm surprised you didn't go with applied weapons tech scales on that Ritter RSK. I've heard people say that the stock G10 scales are almost too grippy/sharp. Have you noticed any issues? Are you planning to replace the scales with AWT?
No plans on swapping those out, but the larger size knives don't get carried as much. I usually have one in my tool bag just in case, but it's rare that I need it. The G10 is fine for how I use it. If I did carry it daily in my pocket, then I might have a different opinion about it.
Beautiful combination, Is the strap lug width 20mm or 22mm ?? thank you 🙏
Thanks, it's 22mm
Lug width 20 mm or 22 mm strap ? 🙏
22mm
Any idea how to get one in the uk?
Nope sorry
My fav too 👍🔥
👍
Whats the exact movement on this watch?
Swiss Made movement GL293 based on Sellita SW330
It’s the Sellita movement with a custom Glycine rotor, and the movement itself is derived (well, basically an authorised clone) from the ETA 2893.
Beautiful. I snagged one just like it but with 20cv on eBay for a decent price. I edc it on my left pocket everyday. One of the greats.
Thanks, it's one of my favorites
Excelent review! Beautiful watch!
Thanks for watching
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
🤟
Glad to find a channel that will be USA made only! So tired of all these cheap Chinese knives flooding the market, and youtube. I too, will admit for the price many of them are quality knives, but at some point enough is enough already. Also AWT scales for the win!! I have 6 sets already (bailout, bugout, mini bugout, deka, para 3, and manix 2) and I'm sure will be getting more, they are amazing.
Thanks for watching, much appreciated. Gotta agree with you on the AWT Scales. I recently got another set for a Benchmade Tagged Out. I'll probably do another video about that one soon
Finally! A SBR review where someone actually talks about his hand size and actually wraps his fingers around it with a working grip. Thank you. I've been wanting to get one of these but every reviewer just picks it up with 2 fingers and sets it back down while they talk about it. Irritating! Now I know I'm not throwing my money away. Thanks again.
No problem, thanks for watching.
Thanks for showing your Para 3. It’s nice to see the scales, especially the color, in a video rather than just a picture.
No problem, thanks for watching
Informative for sure. I was not expecting elastic straps since it has a buckle
Yeah it's unique for sure
It’s a beautiful watch. I might have to get one this spring. Nice video.
Thanks for watching. These combat Subs are still my favorite watches for everyday wear
Love your review mate ❤ subbed !
Thanks for watching
You know you’ll magnetize your watch by putting it against electronics let alone the speaker in your phone. That will definitely throw the time off.
Not impossible, but highly unlikely. Watches come in close contact with phones all day long. The electromagnetic field emanating from the phone is negligible. Source: Guess what type of technician I am.
Nice. I am ordering the blacked out version after Christmas.
I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd one.
Better buy isofrane easy to use
I find them a bit boring. I do have a white rubber strap with a deployant clasp though. One of these days I'll do a video on it.
Made in the USA! Awesome content! Subscribed.
Thanks for the support, glad you liked it
I am in the wrong hobby
Don't get into watches
I love knives just a very expensive hobby i would love a bailout just way out of my budget
Benchmade is definitely pricey. If it makes you feel any better, I wouldn't have so many benchmade knives if I didn't get such a steep discount on them from the Navy Exchange/Post Exchange.
@technicianiv1776 I just realy would love a tanto bailout if I could have just one
Only thing I hate about it is the pocket clip
Yeah I mentioned this in my full video. It ended up being not that big a deal other than the clip being at a weird angle. The knife stays pointed at the right direction in my pocket.
Nano oil.
I wish it were that simple to fix. Getting it oiled up properly was literally the first thing I tried.
CF Elite is called CF elite because it uses graphite (carbon...) fibers to reinforce the nylon, as opposed to the usual glass fibers. The difference between CF Elite and FRN is the same as the difference between carbon fiber and G10. Makes the name seem fairly reasonable, to me. I miss the days when Benchmade made designs that actually interest me. I carried a 940 in the military, so ill always have a soft spot for them but G10 and steel liners for nearly 3x what they charged for titanium less than 10 years ago would probably keep me away even if they made a design i liked. Thanks for showing your collection. These are always my favorite videos.
Thanks for the clarification on the CF elite.
They’ve made the new Buckels smaller.
Yes, they have
Where did you buy the strap in the video? If you can post the link because I would like to buy the same one. Thanks and nice video!
Thanks. I got the strap on Amazon, search for Clockwork Synergy- Single Pass NATO
I may have missed the portion of the video but, what is the weight difference between the two?
Sorry for the late answer. 2.52 oz (71.5 g) with AWT Scales. 1.89 oz (53.4 g) stock form. Adds some weight but still pretty light.
What the make and model of the blue knife, anyone?
Protech SBR
Where can I get the Lanyard Tube?
It's part of the Rockscale Backspacer, all one piece of Titanium
I just got mine in the mailbox, I love it. I got the blacked out magna cut. Super happy.
Nice. I ordered a second one for myself, waiting on the black and flat dark earth version now.
Give this man more likes
Thanks for the support
Too small
Too big, too small, all subjective and depends on what it will be used for
Not when you can only carry 3 and under in your state. This is a big 3 inches. That's what she said. Skeet Skeet.
Found one for $135 free ship & tax free, @ Woknives
That's definitely a scam. You'll either get a fake knife or your money stolen.
@@technicianiv1776 might be legit. If it was a scam site you’d figure they’d advertise Microtech, Benchmade etc
when you make a video, consider using some 3x5 cards to keep your thoughts organized. You have good things to say but you sound like you're making it up.
Thank you for the feedback
I have had mine for two weeks, no, it isn't drop shutty. It DOES thumb and reverse flick like a dream. I can easily pull the lock and with a flick of the wrist it's closed. Zero blade play, zero remorse.
I'm glad you are happy with it. For me, a knife with a cross bar lock comes with certain expectations, and dropping shut freely when the lock is pulled is one of those.
i wonder why a company, usa co. especially would allow this knife to drop. maybe you got a lemon. i have a 27 dollar sitivian that flows just like benchmade. that really sucks!
Maybe I did get a lemon, hard to say with a sample size of one. Bad QC or bad design, either way tactile knife company won't get any repeat business from me. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
