HHB 25th Division Artillery 1975-77. These were open barracks until about 6 months before I arrived Jan 75 when they turned them into rooms.
3/4 Cav 1972-75
`I was there from 1964 - 1966 / 13th Artillery, Hq Battery, 3rd Battalion. Was in the FDC section.

I was a PFC assigned to Hq. Battery, 13th Artillery, 3 Battalion back in 1963 to 1965. Would love to visit Schofield sometime before I pass on.
You better go soon. You’re old AF
Big memories for me as I watch my old barracks. Thank you and “On Time”!
epic
I was there in I quad 81-82 ...HHB 2/11 FA...ON TIME! 82c
Sad too see it gone. I was stationed with the 25th ID from 97-00. I lived in K Quad Barracks. I was with the 84th Engineers. I believe the Mess Hall is located close to I quad. Great Memories. I made a lot of friends in 2-11 Field Artillery couple of them are now living in Hawai'i and members of the Hawai'i National Guard.
To be honest, those floors used to look like shit with a coat of wax on it.
Did they use military engineers or civilian contractors?
I was with STRATCOM-PAC from 1970-72. Do not remember which quad. Sound familiar to anyone?
Wow I was in J quad with 84 Eng Bn 1987 till 1991
Wait what? We were in K-Quad I thought? HSC 84th Engrs C.H. I transferred in '88 to Helemano but used to stop by a couple times a month and kick back a few with my buds there till '89. Still remember SGM Osman catching me hanging out and kept telling me to hit the bricks lol That ole softie ;-)
Which section were you in Harry?
@@Silverado1st I was in B co 84th Eng . As I remember coming into the quad B co would be on your right
@@TheHoveycat Thats cool. I was in Headquarters Support Company. I'm still a little foggy on the platoons we had. Think one was a vertical platoon, one was horizontal, one had control of the rock quarry and explosives I think 1st platoon we had the 63S, 52D, 95B's pretty much maintenance. Brings back some great memories. You might remember when they started making us do battalion aerobic exercises at the end of the month instead of the usual PT. That was just awkward lol.
@@TheHoveycat I think you were there after we moved into the new motor pool I think, or do you remember the ancient one as well?
How’s the waves on there

I was 18 years old when arrived there in august 1966. Have good memories. Went to other two islands. Felt like home, Puerto Rico.
One of the Badest neighborhoods lol. Lots of good fights to watch for free lol I saw people get stabbed and shot in that neighborhood.
I was in B Battery 1st Bn. 8th Artillery 1960-61. Was this the Quad where I was I wonder?
Wow! Many wonderful memories from Quad-I, I live in those Bks from 1975 to 1978 Svc Btry 2/11 FA I was 17 years old when I got there. (CRUIT!!!!). on my 18th Birthday I received a J-Walking Summons at Hotel st. Which was off limits to us. I paid dearly for that mistake..... Aloha!!

how much is for this home
I lived there in J quad in 1982-85 (HHB DivArty). I remember after hurricane Iwa in 1982 the roof was leaking badly. I lifted up one of the ceiling tiles and could see the water was leaking through the patched holes from where a Japanese zero had strafed the roof back in 1941.
Thank you for posting all these videos. A Btty. 7/11 FA through the change to A Btty. 2/11 FA in 1972/3. "On Time Alpha Battery sir" ! From J Quad west side 3rd floor north end.
I hid a white Sony Viao laptop up in the ceiling tiles of my room before the 2008 deployment to iraq. Never went back to get it.
Quad I also housed tht 25th Admin. Co back in the early 60's. I did two years there. I was also told that I would not recognize Schofield back in 2000 when i was on Wahoo so i did not go up there. So sad. I have great memories of my tour there. Waikiki has changed for the worse too. Oh well what do i expect. that was about 53 years ago.
damn this brings back memories. My dad was the CSM of 2/11 FA in the early 80's.
Served with your Dad! I was in B 2-11 from 81-85. Great times great place. I remember your dad as being a soldiers soldier!
I was satationed at Schofiels fron 1969-1971. C-1-1
I was at quad I from 1969-71, Co B, Med.
Looks like I'm chiming in kinda late, but hopefully better late than never. Anyway, I would be honored to share my story real quick. I was last living in 'K' Quad when I left in 86. However, I was blessed to go back very recently for the first time since the day I left; which was, 5/6/86. I just got back about a month ago for nine days. I too was sad to see all the 'progress' in the 'I' 'J' & 'K' quad areas. But I could still feel the historical spirit of the place. I just stood there and thought about how my marathoner CO would come get me from the barracks before our reg. PT. and we'd run around the quad and beyond for 2.5 - 3 miles. It was a therapeutic adventure to be there, and I have no regrets for taking the trip. Prior to the last 17 months of my tenure on post, I lived in 'B' Quad. I stayed in the oldest of all the buildings on the entire post, building #156, room #223 on the 2nd floor. Which in fact was being remodeled as of a few weeks ago on my trip. Ask me sometime about the first night I stayed there; wow, horrifying, unforgettable. It's hard to really label everything that may have happened to me while I was there physically, again after all these years. All I really know for sure is, the day I left 'K' quad back on Cinco De Mayo, 1986, my life changed a lot. Somehow it meant something beyond words, just to go back after all this time, and sort of touch base. But the base was gone. I wanted to go back to the room where I got the phone call that changed my life forever, room #257. But it was gone. The thing is, I changed so much emotionally and spiritually during the time I was there. I was separated from family and friends for 3 years and for the first time, I really didn't want to leave. Nevertheless, I went and we traveled the world. I saw Japan, and Korea (both North & South). We packed in a lot. Realistically, even though I lived in several other places prior to this, Hawaii was the place where I finally grew up. Here I was in paradise, but feeling a simultaneous, emotional turmoil, from being separated from my normal everyday life, which in so many ways was really beginning to improve. Everything was, but the economy. I can recall walking around on post, trying to convince myself how fast the next 3 years would go by, but having a hard time swallowing it. It would be an enormous treat to see some film, or still shots even, of "K" Quad. I've looked everywhere. The best I could do is one pic and the Google Earth Satellite historical imagery.
I was there from 1988 to 1992. HHS 3/7. I am the Sandman.
The movie from here to eternity were filmed here.
does anyone know when they demolished K quad. I understand they have a DFAC called K quad, but I'm under the impression it is a newer facility? I was stationed there and left in May of 1986. I'm going back for the first time in 30 years this May (2016)
Hey. I'm guessing it was shortly after 2000 because on google maps it disappears in 2001. I was with HSC 84th Engr. Bn. from '85 to '89 at K quad. Hope you had a great and safe vacation!
I was a Forward Observer in 2/11 FA from 6/88 to 7/92.
I was a forward observer in 2-11 FA from June 1988 to around July 1992. I was attached to 4-22 Inf. and 1-14 Inf.
many memories in that building with my husband . im sad to know its gone :(
I had such a great time living in J Quad. The best was at times on cq you'd see solders in old Army uniforms just walk on through the hall from on lanai to the other. Those Barracks had so so much History! The Air Force lived in little condos and had the best mess hall of all!!
Great memories here... C 2/11 FA 1993
Enjoyed the tour
I was 13 FOX 3/13 th F.A. 1979-1982 supported 1/27 INF.
Holy shit, why? They sound so happy. What about renovation? Have they destroyed D quad?
