Look at how narrow the old bridge is compared to the new bridge - driving over the old bridge at night was an experience.
No Way.😲😲😲😲😲😲😲
Why don’t they have a ferry or something I see why not too many people are on the road. I mean that thing is treacherous
hello? Your video of The 7 Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys is so well done and beautiful. It's so good to see and is the best. I am a Korean CZcamsr, and I would like to download and use 2 minutes of your video with the source indicated. I would appreciate it if you could allow me to do so.
Feel free to use my video as long as I get credit for it
@@floridafun2010 Thank you very much. So does that mean you can use it forever without paying?
GTA VI MAP???
Thanks for posting this. I climbed that as a budding teenager-about 1968-1969. Then it was painted a plain green. It looks to have changed a bit since then, I can't find any old photos though. At that time it stood alone, no utility buildings nearby and you could ride your bikes right up to the base of it. I don't remember the curved safety walkway. Just straight up till you got to the tank. Then the ladder curving around the tank. At the top was a big red blinking light to warn away low flying planes. (Set inside a low guard rail which we climbed over.) We smoked pot up there feeling free and victorious, then climbed down again. It was worse coming down when your body weight created a drag. I remember having to fumble to find the next ring below me. I was terrified, but it was a dare. I was the only girl to accept the dare, and went with my brother and 3 of his friends. (He thought I came down too slow, so impatiently climbed around me.) So yeah, it was dangerous. The last time I was there was in 2017. It is super protected now, so I very much doubt any kids could access it. Back in the early 60's there were plentiful fields everywhere you looked and kids played outside from the moment they got home from school until dinnertime. (They also opened I-95 back then and I still remember feeling surprised at the wide open freeway with almost no cars, wondering why in the world they built so many lanes.) We also played in the giant concrete sewers that were being laid under Sheridan Street when it was first constructed. Of course, Florida was so much wilder then. There were actual sand dunes across from the water tower on Sheridan Street in the area now known as TY Park (Topeekeegee Yugnee). The dad of a friend had a cool sand dune buggy, and he used to take the kids racing around the dunes. The lake was wild and hard to access, but we managed to fashion ropes over branches of overhanging trees and swing out and drop into the water. Almost everything kids did back then was outdoors. Sadly, the wilderness of scrub pines, sand, and plentiful land crabs is long gone.
The old bridge is still used for fishing and runners. All is Good
Hello I just saw your video. I was looking to send a friend who lives in England where I live. South Deerfield. This is a great video and will let Sugarloaf and some of the valley where we live. Sincerely
Very old video before technology got better with drones. Glad you appreciate it regardless
Wow
Beautiful
Good flat earth video!🤫🤔 just saying
I wouldn't drive on that bridge at night
This is beautiful but I think I would be scared to cross
sounds like Augustus Pablo
Amazing.
Great video - the music ugh
Gorgeous footage, music terrible imo. I would have liked to see the Barton Cove Peninsula and recreation area both from the air and up close. I loved the dam and bridge footage. I live on the TF side.
Florida, sweet Florida, I will come home someday back to you.
Was down in 2016 in key largo rented a Harley and drove down to key west with it what an amazing time that was
can you ride your bike across the bridge?
No
@@floridafun2010 That's a awful bridge. I thought there was a cycling bridge right next to it.
@@jasonlewis460 The bridge off to the side doesn’t go the full length sections of the bridge are gone
Nice footage. I just rode my bicycle from Bahia Honda State Park over the 7 mile bridge to the Sunset Grill and back, 22 miles. What a blast. I recorded the event. I'm editing the footage now and will be done this week with a video:)
Liar
Nice Birdseye view of watey! 👍
I would run this in a heartbeat, how tranquil!!
Once a year they they shut down one side so runners can do just that
It’s so beautiful 😍
Indeed.
Beautiful video and equally beautiful audio. May I ask who is performing the music?
Sorry I don’t remember the artist, thanks for the compliment 😊
Anyone know how much curvature they had to account for when building this thing?
Who knows
Curvature? The earth is flat, isn't it?
Came through the window ... eek
From ca this is on my list of places to drive.. Would be amazing.
You live in California? I feel sorry for you.
I’ve climbed that
Not only did I drive over it four times, I stopped and swam under it. It’s so beautiful down there, really cool spots to stop and enjoy
how did you stop? isn't there no place to stop on that bridge?
@@wcsdiaries there is a little park right after you cross over it heading to the keys. Tiny park must be for locals mostly.
im going there for spring break and im nervous to go across the water
@@jonibanks2248 No you didn't. I don't believe you
@@mizer9510 doesn’t matter LOL I have my pictures. And the ones who don’t believe either never been down there or are blind.
Imagine being in a modded hellcat and the bridge is empty that would be hella fun for 7 miles😂❤
Эт чо крымский мост

The factory 🏭
No way to pull over. If you have to get out of the way you go in the water.

I loved the seven mile bridge
But not anymore?
Hurricane Irma. My mother lost her house was destroyed. My dad passed away a couple weeks after that he was sad. And my mother pushing her 70s she is living in a motorhome on the property. She didn't have no insurance, she signed up for rebuild Florida hopefully her little house will come soon. And this was East Rockland key, if I had the money I will build her house already
I'm a native and my family is originally from Key West. I still live in Florida and I've never been there. Not sure if I can do that bridge. 😱
most Floridians been to the Keys at least once in a lifetime as a roadtrip it's a must Lol
Why, you a pansy?
That would make for a nice house to be built !
