@@SuperDRAY88 Listening to the kart, sounds like most of its high end (17000rpm) is at about the 60kph mark. I'd imagine that a tailwind probably allows it to hit 80kph. There's also a lot of other factors, like the weight of the driver that could influence this

Hi there! Nah not sped up. It was seriously fast. I have some other lige vids as well and those luges seemed fast but this one was just insane. Like scary. I was genuinely frightened going off those jumps.

@@KevinYep I don't really feel that there's a jump or place to catch actual air in Rotorua. It's loads of fun. But it's not like the Queenstown luge which has two actual areas where you can catch air, with the second spot being the best. I also talked to the Rotorua employees about this particular subject and they likewise agree that Rotorua lacks a true air spot. There's no doubt though that Rotorua is actually hazardous compared to Queenstown though. Next time I'm at Rotorua I'll probably wear a light leather jacket and pants as well.

@Eliminator5555 I wish I had a better GoPro at the time, like the one I have now which has the GPS and speed gauges. Would be interesting to see how fast that thing was going

@@KevinYep It's also possible that there was a slight hill to crest and catch when you were there, but they've since removed it to make it safer. But I didn't ask the employees that question.
