How Apple AirTags are being used by criminals
zhlédnutí 6MPřed 2 lety
GPS tracking devices are becoming more popular and criminals are using them. For example, we're seeing Apple AirTags being used to track cars and steal them from home driveways. Use your iPhone or download an Android tracker detect app to help you find Bluetooth trackers near you.

Fun Fact: The reason why Apple allows you to scan an Airtag and it make an audible tag isn't so you can "hide" an item and track it if its stolen, its purely for invasion of privacy. At the end of the day, you can find any Air Tag with an RF Detector even if you take out the speaker. Finally, never use a signal jammer to disrupt a criminal from finding your tag because they can disrupt crucial airwaves used by FAA and emergency personnel for critical communications. Generally this radio spectrum is reserved for them, but some signal jammers CAN disrupt that space as well. Not to mention its highly illegal lol

True this is a fine example of a helpful police officer. I’m not a criminal but thanks to this officer and those like him, including all the major news broadcasters I have been receiving a bounty of knowledge on how to become a criminal. They give step by step directions on how to commit crimes all in the name of views. CZcams, TikTok, Facebook, if that’s still a thing, you’ve all made tremendous strides in shaping new criminals and giving them so many tools in their arsenal to commit crimes. Good job I hope you get your views or ratings or whatever it is you’re looking for at the expense of others.

How about : 1) Take care of it yourself because your IQ allows you to problem solve. 2) make sure to report to police in case this is part of something bigger hurting your community. 3) stop hating on the ones to do a dangerous job, to keep our homes ,businesses and communities safe.

Question from the US: While I appreciate your PSA here, and it was nice of you all to take the time to educate and help the public, near the end of the video, you also recommend covering your car's VIN number to reduce the chance of it being stolen. I Googled to try to get an answer as to why that would make it harder for thieves and less likely for a car to be stolen, but all of the answers that I got online were that it actually makes it easier for thieves to steal your car because they hate VIN's since they make it easier for police to identify stolen cars. Would you please explain your statement and why that's the case? Is it a difference between how it works in the US and Canada, or is there some other key reason? Thanks.

Hey folks, just leave your keys by the door. Also, they like to use air tags as well as I phones, so leave those for them too. Make sure the door is unlocked and leave your front lights on with a sign saying the door is unlocked so they don't kick it down and let them know all the items are right by the door inside.... This country and its Goverment need to get changed up very quickly. Trudeau is a clown. This cop needs to get a raise and promoted!!!
