ano is great, smooth, typing feeling is really bouncy without any mods, the mods that I done is remove the 2 silver M3 x 16 socket hex screws from the board and put some gaskets on the bottom case, where the plate leaf spring sits on, after modding the sound is really clean and typing feeling improves a lot! I think VENN turns from sandwich mount to gasket mount after my mods, so the only board I have that can compare is KOHAKU, I have to say that I love VENN more than KOHAKU, KOHAKU is nice, but VENN(after mods) sound is really really clean and the low front height feels much better to type on.

very very stiff, typing feeling reminds me the transition tkl 4mm sandwich alu plate build, and sounds really clacky with cherry switches, but I think the area that the plate touches the top case is much bigger than Jane plate, maybe its the reason that makes the board sounds more hollow without force break, but after doing force break between the plate and top case, and between top case and bottom case, it sounds really clacky and clean

These are the unlubed deeppings bought from SW global store and I lubed it by myself~ I tried the factory lubed deeppings before, both 3.7 and 4.0, they are really too overlubed on the stem that make the board sound muted, this is the common problem from the Gateron factory lubed switches 😮‍💨

thanks!! I love PP plate more than alu on glare65, actually I tried mx blacks on alu first, but the sound at the corner feels weird, than I swapped to PP plate immediately😄 I think it needs force break between the plate and top case if using alu plate

@@danieltu9224 Agreed! I thought the same. I was fortunate enough to try my friend's Glare TKL with a POM plate, and that sold me with trying a PP plate with this haha. Very happy how the board is overall. I hope we get more "Glare" versions of boards in the future!

@@appleborbs5065 I only tried long pole on pp and fr4 plates, I think the board still sounds ok, I asked my friends they tried mx black on pp, they say the board doesnt sound quiet

f1v2 without any force break already sound really clean compared to my other board, but with this build, I think the alpha sounds a little mute, I will try out other kind of spring on mx black in future, and one thing that I really don't like from this board is the anodization, the bottom of the board can see some strip from it since it was an A stock😅

I can hear the case ping very clearly without the force break mod🥲, so I add GEON froce break sticker on the bottom case 8 screw holes, and the sticker that comes with the deskeys film beside the screw holes and where the tadpole sits

@@danieltu9224makes sense. unfortunately ive experienced the ping happen way too often with top mount non-seamed cases like this - matrix 3.0, glare; and very rarely with seamed cases like kfe, matrix 1.2og. maybe my skill issue. too bad, the anodization on this and the bottom case design and usage of weight on this board are so good. wanted to get extras but maybe i skip.

@@rake_h Maybe try unscrew the screws abit and not screw it too tight, I did experience some case ping for some top mount board. After unscrewing the screws a bit those ping sounds are gone without forcebreak.

@@TheMcph yes this is the techique and handshape that I used to, maybe sometimes it will slightly changed depend on the chair that I was sitting and maybe the song speed that i was playing

thanks, I get the alu plate from a local discord server, sometimes there will run small groupbuys for keyboard plates, btw the alu plate that I'm using is 6 series alu plate, not the common 5 series alu plate

agree, I also think this board sound underwhelming compared to other board I have, and there's also a lot of ping noise if you didn't do force break mod🥲

@@danieltu9224 stil looking for a 65, which one do you personally recommend?

I tried GMK Norse, Striker 2, amd British Racing Green on this Blue, but they didn't fit well to me, GMK A is the perfect match to this blue

@@danieltu9224 i think of Striker, Norse and Serika before A also but couldn’t deny that Birch is absolutely perfect fit with the suave blue. 😪😂

I think its a little pricy for switches, but the switches are really nice, they sound high pitch and clean ,and feels super smooth after lubing, I recommend to go for a try!
