This video is an update to how my reef tank system is doing what has changed and why

In episode 5 I’ve added all my corals from my old tank hooked up my refugium and even got some frags on the go.

In episode 2 I unpack the aquascape and see if the rock work survived all the moving and storage and I add the sand in preparation for filling up the tank with water.

After a year of moving house I’m finally back and I’m setting up my new tank in preparation for going to get my old tank and all my livestock from my friend who’s kindly been caring for it over the last year.

I built my dream tank after a year of planning and after running it for two years I sold it but continued to look after for the new owner up until now I’m moving away and saying goodbye for the last time.

I sold my house and had to move my tank I filmed the breakdown but not the actual move. I did plan to show it set up at the end but I didn’t get a chance and the uk went in to lockdown before editing this video so it ends a little abruptly. Hopefully I can bring you a video after this is over so we can catch up with my reef tank.

Adding an anemone to your reef tank takes a little thought and this video will help you choose the right nem for your tank and avoid possible disaster.

since the last update we've had a fish die trimmed some corals added a new coral added an anemone and adopted a Halloween hermit crab, scrubbed back the purple cloves polyps and increased the lighting.

In order to save corals I’ve had to trim back others that are stinging and overgrowing slower growing less aggressive ones. Hopefully it’s not too late.

its a sad day when you have to say goodbye to one of your fish but it begs the question how long should you expect them to live? only with this information can we judge our success.
