Should I never shave against the grain?
Never say never ;) Shaving against the grain can cause irritation on sensitive skin. That's why we always recommend shaving with the grain first. The rest is personal experience. If your skin tolerates it well, you can also shave against the grain in a second pass to achieve an even more thorough result.

Thank you, I've made a few videos about your products and a viewer directed me to this video. Just to be clear, do you produce synthetic fibers as well? Or do you purchase those from another company? Keep up the great work, love your products!
Thank you for showing our products in your videos. That makes us very happy. The blend of our synthetic brush fibres was developed by MÜHLE together with an institute and our production partner. The aim was to develop a synthetic fibre that is in no way inferior to or even surpasses the properties of badger hair. We have definitely achieved this with the patented Silvertip Fibre® and Black Fibre hair qualities. However, as our manufactory does not have the technical requirements to produce the fibres, this is done by a long-standing partner who specialises in this production. Further processing and binding of the brush heads is then mostly carried out by hand at the MÜHLE manufactory in Stützengrün.

Does that soap fit inside the muhle crome bowl that comes as a kit with a holder for the brush and razor?
Yes, the solid shaving soap fits perfectly in the chrome bowls and is therefore also sold as a single soap.
@ is it ok to lather up in the soap bowl?some say ya no problem and more say you need a separate bowl for lathering? Thanks
What frustrates me most about tutorials is the teacher tells us to take our time, then proceeds to zoom through their face in 3 minutes. Like watching a futball star teaching you to dribble at top speed This gentleman goes at a beginner speed

Ich mag Euere Produkte sehr! Bis auf die Rasierklingen, denn die sind leider nicht so perfekt wie die Hobel oder die Pinsel!
Bei den Klingen hat jeder seine Vorlieben. Das Schöne am Rasierhobel ist ja letztlich, dass er mit den klassischen Klingen der unterschiedlichsten Marken benutzt werden kann.
Ich habe diesen Pinsel und finde das mit dem Wechselkopf ganz großartig!

Is the Gillette King C De Safety Razor open or closed? I'm new to this
the king C Gillette safety razor have a closed head (I start with it, good product), now I received a R 89 Grande 2 weeks ago and he's Wonderfull, most beautiful than the King C Gillette and the handle thicker feels better in hands! Thanks a lot for the R89 Muhle !

Just recently purchased a long handle Muhle razor(r89 grande) was a tad apprehensive I’ll be totally honest… but wowzers 😮 absolutely no going back…thank you Muhle for a superb product at a very reasonable price…
How often should you change the blade?
Maximum 2-3 shaves per blade is a good rule to follow
So if you shave for example monday,wednesday, friday and sunday on a week you should use 2 blades

Hallo, aus welchem Material besteht den der Companion Rasierhobel?
Hallo @christianj8614, der Griff des COMPANION wird aus Edelstahl gefertigt, der Hobelkopf aus Zinkdruckguss. Beide Komponenten bekommen das gleiche matte Finish, so dass keinerlei Unterschied zwischen Hobelkopf und Griff erkennbar ist. In Summe also ein langlebiger Begleiter mit einem angenehmen Eigengewicht.

What do the r numbers mean? Is there any material on this?
The numbers 89 and 41 after the R actually have no deeper meaning. The razors themselves were released under the TRADITIONAL design series. R 89 and R 41 were originally "just" article numbers, which over time almost became a proper name. Ultimately, R 41 refers to a safety razor with an open comb and R 89 to a safety razor with a closed comb.
Hallo Leute! Ich bin Welschtiroler... Now I start to write in english to arrive better to all people. I bought directly to your site the r41, better known as like "the shark". It's simply fantastic. The best razor I ever used! In just one time I shaved my beard perfectly when compared the other razors I had to pass at least 4 times. When you say quality you don't have to be worried, especially if costs can be amortized over years of daily use.
