Would look spectacular for sure. I have never seen one ridden ever. The electrical components sucked so most went to scrap already after a couple of years. This one has only run around 3000 miles.

Nice. I think they were available in 3 colours only in 1953. Black as standard on E models and Maroon Red or Pearl Gray on the ES

I love it too. Runs with open exhaust here. Has a manual vent on the exhaust.

Yes. It is like a mobile stove. Originally made for Snow Mobiles. This bike has a manual vent for the exhaust to open the air flow on highways. It is mapped for best performance with the vent open and the sound now is with open exhaust.

No. It wss just renovated cosmetically as a display piece unfortunately.

Yes. It is a rototiller made from a Messerschmitt 175cc engine from 1954 and a Horex motorcycle tank. Some serious engineering behind that construction.🤠😊

This engine is improved from the original on most accounts. I should try to get it documented. He received a price for “Best technical innovation” at the International Indian Rally in Finland 2019.

Yes. Love them. Many say it’s the last real Harley engine, but I like the Evolution too. Newer than Evolution is not for me.

@@peralbertsson-wk5wj Page 34 in the 1999 owner's manual has a picture of the fork crown. I also have pictures of 1525 strapped in the crate with them the other way. It's hard to tell but, the parts manual also shows them the other way.

@@DonkeyHotie Seems like they were quick when getting them out of the factory. At Bikeweek we found them mounted both ways on the bikes present, but the representative from Valhalla Motor Works concluded that the way mine were mounted was the correct way. On these bikes you have to question everything and try to come up with the best solution using the best knowledge available from the tight group of owners that keeps these bikes on the road. I learn new things all the time.

​@@peralbertsson-wk5wj If you inspect the shape of the top of the fork crown and the bottom of the handlebar clamps, you'll see they only match if installed the right way. The shape is quite different each way. Of my eight, the only one that's wrong was 315 which was like 22nd off the line and I forgive it for having some mistakes. It doesn't matter except to a purist. Great to see yours running and being ridden.

That is correct. I even have a Suziki 250 from 1970 that has about the same top speed as this one.

The engine mounts were changed to the updated ones supplied by Valhalla Motorworks. Then I also changed the rusted out springs in the front fork and mounted the bushings from the same source that took away the cow bell noise, but that effect can not be seen here.
