@@kaleeysmith8801 It’s not my house. It’s my godbrother’s house he is building little by little on his own land. I didn’t ask him the cost of construction. On FB, I came across many houses for sale in Laos with various prices. For land in Vientiane at my old neighborhood it’s about 5,000 dollars per square meter. I can’t really give you the price because I am not knowledgeable in this topic.

Yes, those are nice places to visit. I have been to Don Det and Don Khong the first time I went to Laos with my parents. My father is from the south so whenever my parents go to Lao they spent a month in the south, especially Pakse.

It's fine to travel just need to be extra careful during the raining season. But you don't need to drive there since there is a train from Luang Prabang to Oudomxay running now via fast train or slow train.
