I picked up my first Uke a few years ago and it was love at first strum...well, it was once the strings had settled down and I didn't have to retune the damn thing every 2 mins!
I'm very shy when it comes to performing in public (lots of shaking and redness ha!) so I finally plucked up the courage to play some friends a recording of me playing and singing and much to my surprise they liked it. I finally got round recording a couple of videos and they liked them too so I set up this channel to share my silly little songs with them...and anyone else who cares to watch!
These are mostly cover versions with a couple of original songs! Apologies in advance to the original artists as most of these vids are way off perfect - but if I have covered your song it means I love it and would like to share it :)

Fantastic Caroline
Fantastic video
Very good
Thank you
God remember that so well. Had to walk to work in this and remember how deep it was. Thanks for sharing this video. Nice to see an old memory. Wish people had more videos of Sittingbourne in the 80s.
I used to watch it from Snips Hill, I lived in Oak Road in Murston, I was 10 years old in 1984.
Didn't know cameras existed back in 1984 lol
This may have been the year when my Mum was in hospital on the Isle of Sheppy and food was brought in by helicopter.
I remember this so well! I lived around the corner from there in Sterling Road. I was only 7 but it's indelibly stamped on my memory. Thanks for uploading. ❤
Was there an underpass to the train station at some point? If so what year? I have faint memories from when I was young
Yes there was, it went under St Michael's Road from the back of the Forum to the station - think it was filled in towards the end of the 90s?
I needed this today. Thank you 🐎
What a wonderful video! (I don’t know the area at all). Very prescient to video it for memories! Just interesting to see days gone by that are really still oddly familiar! How empty the roads and pavements are, is this a Sunday? I was 12 and I’m sure there were more cars then!
Thank God you lost that sax solo!
Was weatherspoons a prison back then? lol

Why did you give up 2 years ago.
I had a pub in Sittingbourne some years before this, strange place.
so little traffic
actually pretty similar even now, 40th anniverary next year 2024
wow Great video! Caroline I have found and messaged you on twitter and Facebook :)
Thank you for this of course. Although I live near Dartford now as I did then, we would sometimes go down to the area along the A2 road on the way to the sea, rather than taking the M2 motorway. Having been through the Medway area, you would then come to here before going onto Faversham of course. Well done though too!
Lovely cover but I hope it don't snow.
Wonderful rendition of this beautiful song !!! thank you very much for this nice sharing ...
Sittingbourne born and bread. This is a fake town nowadays ain't it. I believe I'm the only one left. That everyone's dead and im the only one. Help me 90s
It's funny isn't it, you always imagine these carnivals as being so much better back in the day. But it was as rubbish then as it is now lol!
In 2022, it will take 30 mins to go 2 miles across town - as it did today. Can't wait to move out now.
Made a modern version for comparison. czcams.com/video/DButN1hJE4c/video.html
Thank you. My tutor says to down down up down up. So for example. When the world (G x2 strumming pattern) By the time I have sang when the world I have only done the strumming pattern once and not twice. Struggling to go so fast and change chords without no pause at all.
That brought back some memories!
What strumming pattern do you use. My tutor said to do down up down down up. So for example ‘when the world leaves you feeling’ is G chord and he says to do the strumming x2. By the time I have done down down up down up once I should be changing to the next chord. I can’t do the strumming twice as I am so slow. I don’t know how he fits it in twice before the next chord. Maybe I am so slow and can only fit in once.
Hi Rebecca, I know this sounds weird but I don't really use a set strumming pattern! I am completely self taught and just do what feels right- don't worry about being slow, you will pick it up in time, or just do your own thing 🙂
So jealous you can play this. I am learning it now and I sound terrible and the chords sound fuzzy. I have an online tutor and we are looking at the guitar tab chords from their website. How do you strum so fast and change chords without pausing and sounding fuzzy.
This sounds so nice! What's the strumming pattern you use?
Love it
beautiful 🥺
The roads haven’t changed one bit.... But the road tax been going up every year? 😏

Right at the start is real close to my house, and have been going all around those roads for years, so really interesting to see everything 37 years ago, and not just my block but the high street and everything. Thanks!
Ah, when we reached Milton i could just smell the creek!
How the Mills got away with polluting the creek so badly over the years I'll never know!
Summeeerr.. right up my street this, and the voice is really clear. Hope yt doesn't start recommending me heaps of covers now that I clicked like. Beautiful
Thanks for uploading. This sort of thing might be lost otherwise.
I watched it all. The mistake is part of your cover version's charm.
Brilliant well done lady 👍
Even the unicorn next to you approves! 💛 cool cover 😃💛
