Perfect Syntax
How will AI come to understand the syntactic logic of the world?
What is this synthetic process that knows how to put together instance to instance?
What does it … look like?
An ordinary day recounted on a train in rural Japan gets pulled apart and destroyed under various computational operations. An artificial video muscle emerges from the skeletons of a frame and reaches to stitch together the next frame, continuously patching up the distorted fragments of visual information.

116 x 31 Simmons Hall MIT Live Interactive Projection Installation (pt 2)

Simmons Hall is an undergrad dorm at MIT that houses about 400 students. It is designed by Steven Holl architects and also known as “the sponge” for its porous structure featuring hundreds of little square windows enclosed in a grid like metal frame. Simmons is 116 of these little squares wide and 31 squares tall. On the front facade of Simmons there are 2531 windows. This means that if you try...

Bleed out 40 min

It took 40 minutes for my drop of water to dry up. I sat there and watched the whole thing. The fading of a recognizable image is a subtle change. The drop seeps into the paper and the pixels blend together on the screen. About two and a half minutes. For the rest of the time you get these weird inconsistent scanning patterns that slide up and down. Sometimes it moves really quickly and it feel...

TD?
love this concept.
I saw something like this at Disney world when I was four I swear. It’s a core memory so it must be true😂
wow!
Thanks for sharing this! We really need this kind of real uni presentation experience sharing!❤🎉
Ugh Charles Mingus, hell yeah!
Amazing
pretty cool installation good that it came in my suggestions :)
This is amazing. How did you make it? Can I buy a version from you?
This video is so impactful to me right now in this moment. Im going to school for visual design and I’d love nothing more than to create projections like this. Thankyou for showcasing this. Truly beautiful

amazing… this looks huge, very impressive effect
I love this kind of videos when i can't sleep at 3 am
Can I have the little tv?
What is the purpose?
Cool but I don't get it
woah :O
有教学吗❤
Great stuff! Are you using some sort of motion sensor to detect the person's hand on the wall? Thanks.
😮😮😮
Hi, Any idea if I can execute such a project with the education license version? I am not working on any commercial projects.
^with a mask)))) virus!! help!!!!!!!

so cool
i've been trying to figure out how to do this. How did you get the Kinect data to translate as a position on your projection canvas?
They're using a Kinect which has 3d information in which it can translate
@@GlytchArt Does Touch Designer process information from the Kinect and the projector natively? Also, are there specific projectors required? Thank you!
Very coooooooool😎
Where could I find tutorials or resources to learn this? Most of the tutorials I've found so far just show particles moving away from the object being detected.
looks like a noise brush with with added blur, normal maps and compositing. try it out!
@@marktorochkin3125 I know you can execute this through p5js with a screen and a mouse, but how would I apply it to human touch on a wall as the screen? Any ideas perhaps? Could I also do it on fabric as the screen?
@@blinkydinklemy comment keeps getting deleted, so tldr: 360 kinect → microsoft sdk → frag shader or touchdesigner
i dont know why i was reccomended this but sounds like a cool album name
Kinda reminds me of those cartoons (Tom and Jerry, probably) where you'd make a dog go forward by dangling a sausage in front of it. Good job, lol!
love this so much
lovely!
Thank you so much sir ..Your tutorials helped me a lot.
if possible, could you pls make a tutorial?
this is so cool. any good resources to learn how to make this?
there is a lot of videos out there, you could follow a couple tutorials of using touchdesigner especially in combination with the xbox kinect as it detects movement, look into it!
cool!
It's awesome but you have to upgrade your imagination for your simulation. think deeply you will get it. I like your project, be safe be happy, have protection from covid, a single idea can change the whole world, have a nice day.
Wohoo
Super cool 😎
Very awesome 👍🏻👍🏻
It's just incredible 😍😍
Fascinating 🎈
Love your work 💗
So cool seeing your work somewhere else than that white wall. Thank you, I'm always excited when new stuff of yours pops up, you've been a massive inspiration to me in these past few months.
AW that's so sweet thank you so much!!
好喜欢!想知道这个是拿什么做的,touchdesigner?传感器?还是其他的编程类工具?
wow such a fun work!
How do you do that do a tutorial for us on this one
Beautiful!
What I didnt understand, BTW I'm first to comment
Nice! What software did you use to make this?
touchdesigner!
Nice! Whats the tune?
