Love it!
Wow, that's some advanced stuff.
Cheers, this was exactly what I needed!
thanks a lot!
This is very interesting !! But I couldn't understand very well the 2nd sample.. If you have any other video, please let me know. Thank you so much ☺
Perfect, thank you!
Will have to try. Not sure I follow, but will re-watch when I have my knitting in hand
How does this work if one knits continental?
What a lovely book you made!!!
The shawl is beautiful, I think I really really have to be in a extreme concentration mode, but this will be mine 2024 learning experience ❤
9 years on and I've just discovered your video. I love this technique...thank you.
Thanks for the video! I was trying to find out whether anyone omits the wraps from the previous row before decreasing in order to reduce bulk too. Of course, you still need to move and knit all the CC purl stitches as in your video, but would this work with skipping the previous wraps? I'd love to know if this is something you've tried, and what you think of the outcome
I tried this on a pair of socks a long time ago, then had to rip them out because the heel was in the wrong place. It was very difficult finding the ends & then the yarn was too short to use as before. I don’t weave in ends as I go anymore, lol!
HERMOSO FELICITACIONES EXCELENTE EXPLICACIÓN
amazing thank uu! and wow !
MUCHAS GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR TU DISEÑO
Very intelligent way to knit!
That was absolutely graceful!
I wish you could show how to stitch the kfbl stitch in your Boardwalk pattern.
So very glad I finally found this!!! Thank god I can get past row 3 of stroopwafel now 😂
Oh my gosh. This is a game changer for me! Thank you for this brilliant idea. Stitch markers as cable needle --- brilliant!
I don't understand🥺😞
This is the same technique used for weaving in non-active yarn in stranded knitting (fair isle). It was shown on the DVD about color knitting by Ann and Eugene Burgeouis. Also compare this: czcams.com/video/b-dyDqzFqHc/video.html
AMAZING
Thanks for the tip! That will really help me in a lot of instances where I have to cast on new stitches.
Update: The written directions are wrong. I tried following along with the directions but it did not work. Then I slowed down the video to see why you were doing and discovered the correct directions by watching your fingers. All bulleted rows are correct as written All sl1 should be purlwise except when noted. For example: Row 1 (RS LC) Sl1, K1 [wyif, Sl1, K1] to the last stitch, wyib, Sl1. Thank you. There's still nothing as close-up as your footage. I see I still have a little way to go, my finest is still more like embroidery floss than sewing thread. I learned to spin 20+ years ago, before social media existed, from books and magazines at our local library and on a wheel I found broken at the tip. I had 17 micron merino in my paddock, so that is what I started with - years later I was told I started with the most difficult fibre 😆After a couple of hours I had something that could be knitted, so I've never bothered with 'rules' and terminology. I have no idea what anyone would call my drafting practice - forward or backward, long or short...... it all depends on the fibre type, strength and length - I handle it the way it wants to be handled. I'll be working my way through your material, looking for more gems like this one
Xandy I have started Fox Paws several times and cannot seem to get the correct number of sts. If I follow the directions for row 2, I cannot figure out how to get 28 sts. I have to be counting the Uparrow 5 or the S2KP incorrectly. I have gone back and looked at your videos, but still cannot get the correct number of sts. Please help. Thanks so much! Al in SC
Holy guacamole!
I’m working on your “Blooming Brioche” pattern, and these tips make it awesome… it was already awesome because it’s a new pattern each row! I’m never getting bored. I am going to try this pattern out as a circle in the round (double it) for a wedding present. I think I can try and figure out how to do the WS knit decreases from the front, as in attempt to pull this off on a purl row. I’ll keep you posted!
Wow that last frame, that was Sooo fine! Wonderful! Thank you
Thank you. This was helpful!
to easy
This is exactly how I spin. Not just my lace weight. there is SO much control.
But I didn't understand how you did the change.
Fantastic video. Thank you so very much.
Thanks so much! All the videos are great! I appreciate your teaching very much. Best Wishes to you.
Do you have a tutorial on the beginning of your Sojourner shawl? Please help. Ty
Thank you very much
😯Great video - I want to do this! I'm just a beginner and I use a drop spindle and park and draft method. Do you use drop spindle at all? If so, could you give a demo for lace weight? Also, what type of fiber is that and what's the staple length?
Pretty sure you didn't invent.this as you stated. There are older videos showing yhis and I've been also doing this for a lot of years. It's the best way unless it's very fine knitting and/or fair isle
Hi! This is really cool, how would I make the customizations like in your examples? This is a great tutorial!
Ehm, excuse me??? That shawl is so beautiful???? How is it possible to make something so beautiful
Ty for taking the time to do this tutorial :)
sorry TO HARD
Xandy, I have used your unwrapped decreases in a lot of patterns, for example, the Porcelain Cowl by Raina Kruus, and I think it greatly improved the overall look of the design. Thank you so much for making these videos. It would be helpful if you could re-title this to mention that it is Left Slanting.
