One of my all time favourite movies. It’s my comfort movie. I had a breakdown just now because of how lonely I feel, how isolated and abandoned I feel only having one irl friend who barely notices or appreciates me. I started crying thinking about the fact that the person who got me in secret Santa at work actually put effort and thought and appreciation into my gifts! Such a small kind act by someone I barely know causing me to feel so noticed. And I started thinking about this occasion sometime last year where I (a waitress) was left to work by myself in the restaurant which was very busy. The coworker who was on with me was spending her time chatting in the bar not helping me at all, it was very stressful and the chef on at the time noticed and asked me if I was okay. A chef that, usually, spends most of his time yelling at me for messing up or whatever, being so kind and thoughtful and understanding my situation and giving me a lecture about how the other waitresses can do that sometimes and that if I need any help I could ask. I’m really good at not crying in front of people, especially during negative occasions (being yelled at, told I’m messing up etc. even though I have a really hard time handling being yelled at) but when someone goes out their way to notice me and to be kind it causes me to breakdown, had to try so hard not to cry as I was multi-tasking drinks, taking orders, handing out food and getting people sides (ketchup, mustard etc.) and all that. Not sure why I’ve typed all this out in the comment section of this movie, but it’s helped to calm me down and clear my mind! If anyone sees this I hope you are doing okay, better than I at least! Also, thank you for uploading this on CZcams! It’s nice not having to open up a silly website to watch this movie
