Um it is abuse save these poor horses and there is no special bond the horses are just scared to get beaten up

As a horse lover and one who’s been around a lot of horses and a proud Latina. I don’t see anything wrong with teaching a horse to dance. They’re so beautiful and majestic! To me, seeing them dance and showing off their beauty and the showing of the Mexican culture is beautiful. What I don’t agree with are some methods that are used such as chains or having the horses tied up to one pillar or posts and worked tirelessly. That I don’t agree with. We can’t judge all trainers saying they all use that method. Not all of them do. I’ve seen some use a clicker and carry treats, they give the horses a run or walking warmup before training and giving them their meals and rest. There is nothing wrong with teaching a beautiful horse to dance as long as it’s done right. Think of it this way, there is a right way and a wrong way to train for dressage, training Lipizzaner horses, racing, showing, etc. I agree it’s not just culture. Don’t be ignorant and assume that these charros all train the same.

I love how people are talking about how this is not abuse and that we should know more about horses. This is called charro riding and it is 100% abuse. These types of people tie their horses to stand still with chains on their legs. Then, these people tell the horses to trot forward with whips. Out of fear of the whip, the horse starts to trot forward but the cross ties stop them. The horse trots in place and the chains bang down on the horses legs. This can be really painful for the horse, and they start to lift their legs higher. When you train your horse to do this, you get nothing but a fake piaffe that is only done out of fear. A real piaffe takes months even years to master, and it looks way better. The horse will usually do a real piaffe out of positive reinforcement. #stophorseabuse

The fact that every single horse that is "dancing" in this video has half-pinned ears and triangular eyes is awful! If I have learned one thing from watching tonnes of Raleigh Link videos, it's that triangular eyes mean that the horse is in pain. It doesn't even look like dancing!! It just looks like hurting abused horses being pushed to do stuff that is horrible!! The owners are stupid, irresponsible, cruel, abusers, and freakin' idiots, and they should be put in jail for this stuff and be banned from horses. I would NEVER make a horse do anything like this. What a stupid idea. Only a fool Seattle politician would think of something like this. Giving a homeless person a nice, shiny new tiny house that they will only trash in a couple of months. Who gets to pay for their new tiny house? Who gets to pay to haul it to the dump every couple of years when it is destroyed? THE TAXPAYERS, thats who. I for one am tired of my tax dollars, that I worked hard to earn, being spent on people that have no intention of getting a job and paying their own way. Look at the woman in Tacoma that ruined a free apartment house a couple of months ago. If I remember correctly, the cost to clean up and repair was over a million dollars and it put a bunch of other people on the street.

I see all these comments about abuse. For one they did not show him doing much actual training. Just judging by what I saw however I saw not a man abusing horses but a good communicator a gentle hand. His horse does not look panic stricken in fact what I saw was a calm well balanced horse. He was doing quite a lovely passage and piaffe. I get tired of assumptions and dressage purest s and their word vomit. I'm sure those who train at the Spanish riding school would have something to say about "modern" dressage. Go educate yourselves. Do not lump everyone together. It takes about 4 years... For specific training the man is not competing in a dressage show. And I will remind everyone just because you don't understand it it does not constitute abuse. I have seen good and bad from Mexican dancing horse trainers all the way up to Olympic level dressage. And yet the founding fathers of dressage the Spanish riding school couldn't compete and win in todays arenas on their frumpy little white stallions. Yet I challenge one purest dressage rider to ride any of the advanced airs above the ground without stirrups. Lay off
