2 x Class 37s in South Wales (Vale Of Glamorgan Line)
In September 1999, Class 37s 37131 and 37229 came out of store from Cardiff Canton to work a Cardiff Tidal to Aberthaw oil tank train with a trailing load of 1,100 tonnes. They were being tested before their reinstatement for Sandite duties, and given a serious workout over the Vale of Glamorgan line, this section being one of the 'tough' ones.

MAGIC 70s !!!!!!....🎸🎼🎧⏳🎸🎵🎶🎸🎼⏳⏳⏳❤❤❤🎸🎸🎸!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love the music, lyrics about suicide, a bit depressing!
Yeah, it's not good, I'll admit.
Procol Harum invented non-existent style: funeral-doom-blues-rock. Imagine this is played with distorted guitars and growling vocal, and you have a classic death-doom metal track.
Thanks! I wore out my copy of 'Country Home' in the 1970s. I have not yet searched but I hope you have also uploaded 'Bumpers West'.
Perhaps the most underrated band in rock history. Better than the Stones. Better than Led Zep. Better than Yes. etc. etc.
They sound a lot like The Band here. You know, Dylan's old group. So who came first, the Band or the Harum?
Scarier than anything by the Cure, Swans, Joy Division, etc. Masterpiece.
I always think "An Awful Lot of Woman" is my favorite Skid Row song and then I hear this and THIS is my favorite Skid Row song! Noel Bridgeman was a genius drummer and greatly overlooked, but then the whole band was great. The brilliant and effortless gear changes that this song goes through just cracks me up. Thank you for posting!
Ok
A very childish type of title, @barry!
Always loved wishbone ash😊 way too underrated, much like Nazareth!! Legendary bands ❤❤
Jason, you are spot on, mate.
Grunge!
This might be my favorite Skid Row tune. Amazing juxtaposition of musical ideas in a mere two minutes. Brilliantly original. Makes me wanna shout ZOWEE-EE!
Boys from Liverpool borrow a bit of this?
Cute little Billy Joel hiding in the closet.
Brilliantly Keith Reid! RIP!
Very great song! Tom and Stu singing backing vokals, and Tom's rhyth'm guitar are great!
❤❤ Crystal light song.
where did u find it .thank you verymuch !!!
I had the album myself ctwong7526, from 1970
That's Robin on his '52 goldtop that he sold to Gary Moore. What a wonderful sound
Somptous piano chords and then too Copping great Hammond harmonics too ,one of my alltime fave song from Procol ,but without thé great Fisher and BJ too.
one of the most beautiful songs about death. lovely piano chord progression, and heavy organ backing
@@awaken77 totally agreed with you ,awaken,i'm a pianist ....but thé harmonics from thé Hammond are wonderfull too
Thank you for sharing this wonderful song.❤
Procol Harum undoubrely is rhe most underated band of rock and pro music...sublime
Yeah, pity Gary Brooker passed away.
Been listening to this since the album came out. Maybe death will be my cure, indeed. Still fantastic. RIP Keith Reid and Gary Brooker. You are missed.
And BJ Wilson thé right place AT thé right Time ,hé did poured so much drama in Procol's music ...Gary did said BJ was thé most investigated one in Procol's music
😊❤
I saw them in 1973 at he Jazz Bilzen festival
J'étais perdu dans la rue Fatigué et mal au cul J'ai vu un petit café Avec une fille dedans Et je lui disais "Puis je pisser dans votre violon?" Et elle a repondu étonné... "You 'orrible little pervert, piss off, I'll call the cops" Tu vois elle était une jolie fille anglaise.
I can see where people thought that Steve Winwood was doing vocals, didn’t hear it on Whiter Shade though.
No it was Steven Stills taking a break from David Crosby.
One of the very best songs ever written. Anyone know why it isn't on Spotify anymore?
Excelente disco, que buenos recuerdos, lo tengo en vinilo
Tellement riche suite d ' accords complexe .
Musique intense à tout les niveaux .
Harmonies classiques très riches inventives cela sonne profond .
Thanks 4 shareing l9ve watching the old stuff
Perfect song for our times.
As they say in some Northern parts of England, 'Rum times' (not good)!
OK so I have heard tens of thousands of tracks, bought countless albums. I am 70 now and some songs I still absolutely treasure, this is most definately one - from about 5 minutes in, it somewhere in my top 5. There is something about the words, feel, emotion of Dark Now My Sky that still sends endless shivers running up my spine. For me it is a masterpiece.
A real good comment, @robert
One of my favorites❤ among many

Procol Harum - a diamond in the rough - uncommercialised 'greatness'
do you have the lirycs of this song?
Sorry, I don't
i like the version with the edmonton orchestra.
This is a song for when all seems hopeless and you need a bolt of strength from above.
Excellent band, great track , very good album, still with Peter Frampton.
