Got the 24" one and the lock icon faces the other way on mine meaning on the same side as the one/off switch
Snap on bought the factory and will be offering them on the truck. We all know where the price is headed
100% on that prediction!
@@mlacher100 But at least they will still be produced, and maybe they will come out with a needle nose version. Channellock shortly ago began re-branding the Grip On ones that Snap on Carried up until now that they bought the Malco factory. They are Quite affordable, and nice.
🔥
Ah man, wish I had one of those back then. My family didn’t have the money
Some of the bikes are affordable now. If you watch fb marketplace, you can find a deal!
@@mlacher100I no longer have the ability to ride a bike like that at my age sir
@timweb1510 just regular riding, im not doing any tricks myself. I just enjoy the wind blowing by as I cruise!
Thanks for sharing Brother, execellent looking bike. God bless.
Thank you for the view, God bless!
I don't need any but if they were made in Channellock's USA factory I'd probably buy some just to support USA manufacturing.
Amen to that!!
Thanks Brother. Good looking tool. The curved jaws are my go to with locking pliers. As far as I know, I don't have any Spanish made tools. Never thought about Spain as a tool maker. Neat. God bless.
Spain makes some neat hardware. Bergara rifles are made there, and their barrels contend with some of the most accurate production rifles on the market.
Thanks for sharing Brother, God bless.
Thank you for the view Steve!
I have these. I also have the Malco Eagle grips. first off, I don't use locking pliers to cut wire. The Malco's are a work of art -- no questions there. These though are the ones I want for everyday use. The release mechanism is superior
It's a feature they offer. It should work. Other than that, these seem to be built well and should last a long time. Thank you for the comment.
There is a ton of different locking pliers out there...Grip on makes pretty decent locking pliers and I have a pair of carlyle quick release 6 inch locking pliers that I really like a lot.I think they are as fine as you can get from Taiwan locking pliers..
I have done a video of the grip on as well if you check my playlist under locking pliers. There are a few videos. Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely the finest locking pliers ever made...and in a limited supply. They sell thousands every month...crazy that they didnt do well on the shelves.I need to get them soon..
I agree. They are a work of art as far as tools go!
I checked Astros website, sadly it is only a 1 year warranty. This was a big reason I didn't go Astro... Quality decent, price great, warranty bad. Everyone is always talking about adjusting the screws... I have two thoughts: 1. If that little screw can flex the ears, then the ears are too easily flexed. 2. If you use the screw to tighten it up, then the screw is taking nearly all the forces and the threads are fractures waiting to happen. A nice, welded pin seems to be the best option. A bit of tape to stiffen when needed and robust strength all the time.
I agree, but that is why I went with the 1/4" drive they should last a long time because the force that is being exerted on it is nowhere near what would be on a 3/8" or 1/2" drive. I will update if things change. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks Brother, this is a beautiful tool! God bless.
AMEN BROTHER!
Never seen these taken apart... Very interesting
Thank you for the view, Gob bless!!
For a diy, would you recommend the 7 or 10 Malco and which tooth set for around the house or small tasks? Thanks
Thank you, Tim. I like the 10" for most jobs, and the curved jaws are my favorite for grabbing anything that is rounded. Hope this helps!
@@mlacher100thanks
Thanks Brother, this is a good looking kit with lots of neat features. God bless.
Thank you Steve!
Back in 1996 I snapped this frame in half through where the brake cable goes through on the TT and where the at the DT is welded to the HT. Mongoose replaced the frame, ended up with a 1997 Mongoose expert CrMo frame which took a beating. Good to see people restoring these bikes. Well done mate
Grace and peace to you in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I bought that ratchet for a very last resort for under-car work where I cain’t get any of my impacts or into. I have used it once, but don’t know yet when I will use it again. I made my review about it on the HF website.
Amen, I will check it out. Dont know about everyday use, but once in a while, it is holding up well. Thank you
I find, I'm not feeling comfortable. It's not tight enough
There's always more expensive brands if you want to spend the extra money and compare them to this one?
Wow these are really stout sockets when you see them from the top down. I'm going to pick up the 19 piece 3/8 metric impact sockets for my collection. Do you have any of the 1/2 drive proto impact sockets @thechristianmechanic ?
Yes, you can check the playlist, and there should be other sockets in there. Thank you
Thanks Brother, you're brewing a nice project there. God bless.
It's taking a long bit to get it all the parts together. It should look good when I am finished. I have a bunch of tool reviews to do. Just not the time to make them
You should go on a bike ride and take to GoPro and go for a ride
I wish I had a go pro, but that is a cool idea, I can see next time me and my son go riding, film some of it!
Sarah I'm learning disabled set bike you got there I mean a great deal to me I used to have one as a kid I would really like to get to ride that bike one last time please
Come to Daddy
Just how I remember
Thx man!
What did you use to clean & lube that ratchet?
Looks very cheaply made!
But its not, it is very well made for what you get!
Here comes the most important part…….”Welcome back!”
Yes, welcome back!
Honestly if you're using a ratchet this length with a 1/4" anvil and socket then one of them is going to break. This handle length is for 3/8" drive applications.. seems like they're just making tools for the sake of selling tools anymore
It's always good to have options when you're working in tight spaces. Thanks for your comment.
Can i buy proto wrench?
You can buy them on amazon, granger a few places sell them.
I have the same socket set that you are showing but mine does not have the holes.
Its a good set for the price. They hold up well!
i've been searching the video about this sit for years. thank you!
Thank you for checking out the video! God Bless
I warranty my husky pilers set , good tools
They are decent, minus the adjustable wrench sucks. I have had a good experience with them
I just bought one in a yard sale for $5. Neibhor said her father worked the powerlines and has had this since the 50's. It's in perfect condition to. I also bought a 1660C CHALLENGER PROTO USA Rachet for $4.
Wow, thats a great deal. Those vintage ratchets really hold up!
I've not seen a ball peen like the one in this post.
I like seeing and participating in the rescue of fine vintage tools. Some of us do this also with cars, boats, firearms, knives, fishing gear and other guy stuff. I enjoy my guy stuff!
Same here. My son actually sold it last night. I figure I would do a review on the ratchet before it was gone. It is well made!
' means feet
I know, it is a typo. Thank you
Thanks for sharing the Word! I pray people hear and heed it.
Amen!
Thanks brother, I've enjoyed seeing this! Excellent tool. God bless.
Thank you
35 dollars was a steal of a deal id say it was from the 50's the older one's had the Williams logo stamped on the under side of the ratchet just below the anvil if i remember correct thanks for sharing my freind Williams is my favorite
Yes I agree, it was a good deal he got it for. He sold it last night, just waiting for tne guy to come pick it up!
Thanks for the video. I looked for a while for something like this for my duo clean lift away. Got in following your directions and my belt was all frayed. New one coming tomorrow, hope it works. Fingers crossed.
You will be fine, thank you
Thanks brother, good work. Take care and God bless.
Thank you , Steve! God bless
Make a cool race bike
Im ordering parts now
@@mlacher100 nice, use to race back in the day. Restored a mongoose delinquent 01 no race bike 38 pounds lol that I putt around the hood.
Wow, yes 38lb is heavy. I will weigh this bike after I build it. We have a few racing bikes around 20lb! I just ordered more parts for the bike stay tuned !!
@@mlacher100 yeah those mid school trick bikes was built different. Beefy
Yes, they were, but they sure do look good!
It is worth it to buy?
I would pass.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!
God bless!!
That's HF merch for you. Rarely lasts for the 90d return policy.

God bless brother
Thanks for the view brother!
