I dont have 99 problems because I ride Japanese bikes
I used too…
Good luck brother.
I’m going to need all the luck I can get…
Where is this?
Outside of Fort Wayne, Indiana…

Man bad luck with this twin cam. If I am ever let down by any ride I have and I hace six cars and two harleys, I will not ride or drive it again. I am a disabled vet and making sure I am not a foot. I would sell this bike and get a M8. Great Video
@@gnsmk357 I can’t get rid of my baby! We gotta get to 107k miles that will be my mile stone of having a bike with 100k on it. Thank for watching..
Nice video,,, 👍 are those all your Miles bro ? Any engine issues so far ?
2012 Road King I got it with 6500 miles and I’ve gone from a 103 to a bigger board 107. In my case I wish I had stayed with the original motor however I’m glad with myself because I installed the motor and did my engine work.
You definitely need to park the bike and do a full check of all fasteners...
Will do!
Loctite, Loctite, Loctite
At least as of now it’s good!
harleys don't need a soundtrack.....lets just hear the road noise, the music is awful. 😅
I like the music it makes it seem like I’m on the bike with my Sena on
Good video bro. Nothing can ever be easy. What was that white zip tie made of lol
I have no idea, what that damn thing was made of! Funny though…😂🤣😆
Life video, my brother I just got me a windsock keep the videos coming
The look is ok with an open air filter but when you get in real rain the sock doesn’t matter. The original cover is the best but we all are looking for style. Enjoy the ride!!
Get the manual
Why, I can look it up on the internet?
@@imac19791 correct torque specs, internet gives you too many answers.

Good luck
I appreciate that….
I’m constantly working on mine but I love it
It’s been quite a voyage!

A lesson!
My bike does the same thing, it’s a 13 flhtc, all I can think is it’s condensation. It’s not using oil between changes but makes a huge mess when it starts puking. I’m trying a small piece of paper towel in the bottom to soak up the condensation, if that doesn’t work I’m going to just run the hose behind the rear jug and slip it between the case and the inner primary.
I recently got rid of the can and put a filter at the end. I’m just going to let the oil drip on the ground because as you know it’s annoying and there isn’t a lot that comes out (if it were to drip). I appreciate your honesty because a lot of people claim this doesn’t occurs but I know damn well I’m not the only one. Thanks for watching… be safe and enjoy the ride!!
I saw that tall drink 👍🏿
Wish I could have gotten a better view but life goes on, 🤦🏾♂️!!😂
Good to know. I have the Pro Beam on the front of my 2012 FLHTK. will be doing the rear real soon...
I appreciate you for watching… it’s on back order so it’s no telling when I will receive the new light but any hoot they have great customer service and turn around.
1:03 rims 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Long time no see! Hope all is well…
Thank you for making this video. I have a backrest pad cover I would like to reuse. I have the squeeze together mount like you have, and would like to get the adjustable mount that uses metal slide in piece, but didn’t want a pad that didn’t match my seat.
I appreciate your gratitude! Thanks for watching…
Great mod , looks like a nice build in progress !!!!!!!!!
Thanks 👍
That long ass video just to not even show how they sounded
Sound is best in person. The purpose of the video is to show you how to make a speaker not how it sounds. Watch my other videos so you can hear.
Thank you for this.
Appreciate that..
You should use glass cleaner or silicone spray lube not a petroleum based solvent. WD40 softens rubber.
That's a good recomendation...
Looks like you may need a new spring also. Seems a little loose.
Naw dawg...
Thanks for keeping it simple
I rarely get comments so it's nice to know people appreciate it!
What size are the buckets? What size speaker? Thanks
That information is in the video…
Yo bro it beats pay 20,000$ thanks a lot. I have a Road King classic as well
You bet! Tks
Great info, I enjoyed the video!
I’m glad you watched…
What kind of 6.5 speakers are u running

Next time, my brother or anyone else who is here use an electronic spray cleaner. It's much easier on the plastic. God bless all!
Will do…
If your tire is cupping like that it's not balanced. You have to spin them around on a tire balancer and add weights.
So your telling me, I have to take the wheel off after 5k miles and rebalance. Will the cupping then go away…🤔
@@imac19791Did you balance it in the first place? I'm guessing someone didn't. Or tried to eyeball it like I did once with just rod through the tire on the edge of my porch (and I ended up with the same cupping). I doubt it will go away immediately, but it will stop from getting worse. It may wear away with time as your tred wears away. Next time you replace the tire, buy a tire balancing stand, they aren't too expensive and some stick on tire weights. On a car, all kinds of different tred wear patterns will tell you all kinds of things about how your front tire is set wrong... balance, under inflation, over inflation, too much caster, too much camber, too much toe in, not enough toe in. On a front motorcycle wheel though, assuming you didn't modify the forks and are using the right sized tire, all you have to worry about is inflation and balance... caster displacement is fixed.
I’m not sure of your methods but I will continue doing as o have done in the past. Thanks for commenting…
@@imac19791"What could cause uneven tire wear cupping on a tire?" Unbalanced tires: If weight isn't evenly distributed around the wheel, it can cause certain sections of the tread to meet the road with more force and lead to cupping. Regular wheel alignment and tire balancing services can help you avoid this. czcams.com/video/cFGNZaRuftI/video.html
Thank you for this video my guy
Your welcome…
Great idea for tie down on a lift but not for trialing down the road risk damage to front suspension
True but…
Nice one sir,look good,regards mike,United Kingdom
Thanks, Mike!!!
In reply to your question. I had to replace the entire clutch hub because the spline teeth that make contact with the transmission main shaft were starting to break off. The spline teeth on the clutch hub are a softer metal than the transmission main shaft. The clutch basket side with the clutch plates were fine & no metal shavings. Again do not reinstall that stock Harley chain tensioner. Replace it with an after market tensioner like I had suggested ASAP., or you are asking for big trouble & big money. While you have everything apart, it wouldn't hurt to remove your stator & check the back side where the magnets are. Check & clean for metal shavings stuck to the magnets. This also can be a disaster waiting to happen if you over look this task. I don't know what year or make your motorcycle is, but it looks like it is a Twin Cam. If it is, you'll have to remove the inner primary case to remove the stator. This is another Harley poor design. One thing you can do to not have to remove your inner primary case is grind from the 9o'clock position to the 6o'clock position about .005 of an inch off the inner primary case. This is so you can remove the stator & not have to remove the inner primary case. Now I know that all the Harley techs are going to blast me for telling you this advise. "It will make your case weaker" etc. I did this process to my case only because I am a skilled machinist & a precision grinder & have all the tools to perform this task. I have been running this bike for about 20,000 miles since I did this. No stress marks or cracks in the primary case. Only a trained eye could tell there was any work done on my case. If you remove your inner primary, you'll have to buy a new motor gasket, 5 new case bolts, unless you can find someone who sells those orange colored imbedded silicone seals in the 5 bolts, & wouldn't hurt to replace the main shaft bearing seal as well. I know this is a lot, but it is necessary to do the job right. You do not want to do this again for a while. I get it, we all want to just ride & not wrench.
While that’s a headache…. I will revisit this if a see anymore flakes. As of now, I’m just gonna ride.

good to know
Right
Just came across your vid. Put a magnet on those metal pieces. If they stick to the magnet, then they came from the Dark Horse spacer. If they don't, it came from your clutch hub or the other part of the Dark Horse sprocket which could be made out of Aluminum in which I doubt. Should be made from a tough or hardened steel. You need to dump the stock Harley chain tensioner in the trash. Looks like your chain is too tight. This is a poor Harley design, which allows the chain tensioner to ratchet up & make the chain too tight. This will cause either your engine bearings or your transmission final drive bearings to fail. Also inspect the back side of your clutch hub splines. When your primary chain is too tight, it will cause your clutch hub splines to break up & come apart. This could be the pieces of metal that are clogging up your spacer. If this is not the case, it is possible in the spacer machining process that they forgot to deburr the holes. It happens all the time in any machine shop or sophisticated machine shop with CNC machines. Replace the Harley tensioner with a Hayden, V-Twin, or South Oregon Hot Bike tensioner. These are all good tensioners & that will eliminate the tight chain issue. The only reason I know all this , is it happen to me. Harley tensioner blew up my transmission final drive bearings from ratcheting up & causing the chain to bee too tight & putting stress on on the final drive bearings. It also tore up my clutch hub splines. I had to replace that as well. Hope this info helps.
Renerivera3801 your the best awesome and you gave very similiar advice as Darkhorse. They also suggested that the clutch may be the culprit. I literally looked today 2-22 and it looks to be fine. And I will address this message in my next post. I guess next I will be opening the clutch to determine what’s next. What did you have to replace in clutch area when you had the problem.
Did you contact DarkHorse and see what their thoughts are? Provide them the link to this video. What is the material of the particles to determine the source? Did you take the eliminator apart to see if the cushions disintegrated, etc? I don’t know it can be blamed on the Eliminator just yet. Best wishes.
My mechanic called them when he installed. He purchased a new chain and we ran it. I’ve thought it was noise over the duration of time it’s been in. So when I put a drive belt on the bike I just thought to inspect and what you see is what material was lodged in the weeping holes. I had been thinking about going back to stock so I did and I will keep it as a backup for the future when the stock compensator goes out. To answer your question No only before install. I just reinstalled the old one. I’m not bashing the product it’s just to allow you to see what I’ve experienced. Too many times are people gloating about a new product and they don’t give substance about the product over a long period. This part has been on the bike for 8k and just so happen it looks like this. I’ll look more into it later as for now I just want to ride. It can wait… Riding is more important… I’ll make a video about the inside stay tuned…
I think you have other issues not a compensator problem.
I’d like to know where though.. the future shall tel…
It's possible the compensator was inatalled wrong, like not aligned. I'm no mechanic but just seen some installs where they stressed how alignment is crucial. Food for thought... Good luck getting it fixed up!
Appreciate that…
I believe I may have found the culprit in the next video…
Just drill more holes to adjust the part the tire rides over. That what I did. No cutting, no welding.
Maybe good food for thought…
It's all metal 😂😊
True but can we get lighter and stronger than what it currently has, without going to a chain…
Aluminum is fun tp play with.(chill out im talking about he aluminum foil)
Everybody wants to change the Harley parts. They’re always looking to switch something out that they consider better so is there anything lighter than aluminum but still a pulley similar to this one.
@@imac19791 what dors that have to do with my comment!
Idk what you are talking about. But you are talking about aluminum, like its not metal?... Aluminum is metal, just a lighter metal that is not magnetic. Idk if you are trying to say that it is light because it is aluminum, or if you are thinking aluminum is not metal?
I never thought to touch this until it was time to replace. A lot of people switch to a chain and I was wondering is there another lighter metal for the hub thats all
Change o rings
Getting to it…
Need a new mechanic😂😂😂😂😂
Naw I’ll stay with who I’ve got…
What’s the problem
@jayspike3065How do I go about fixing? Any solutions…
That's exactly why I'm switching to chain drive
The job wasn’t hard I just wish I’d known when the belt was in disrepair.
