    Great video. I recently got a blavk forest javs fern and glued it to slate.i thought I glued too much of the roots so it was turning brown. But ot was just brown diatoms because I've got hard water in Florida, and my many nerite snails are eating it right up. I've ordered 2 microsorum pteropus that I'm gluing to more slate, because I live that I can just pick it up and move it anywhere. I've got stock LEDs and they seem to be doing fine with my new jungle val and flame java moss, but I've got new hyyger 957 lights I need to cut the glass lids to make work, but do you think I should use the hyggers? It says too much light van burn the plants. Im still new to live plants because I've always been scared of them, but now my 55g only has 1 fake plant left. I'd live to have hornwort if I could get it to sta d straight up. My left corner needs a tall background plant, and I've got black gravel so I'm having a hard time finding one that would work. Any suggestions? Thanks for the information

    I loved the educational videos especially with the plants. There is no other channel that does that. They might talk about a plant, but they do not go as deep into it as you did. You taught how to propagate the plants. And every little aspect of each plant. Please don't stop with those videos. I'm going to share this with my Facebook groups. Hopefully that will help you get more subscribers. At this point, it's us that can and should help your channel grow. I have wondered where you were 🧐. Oh, I don't do Instagram or anything else except CZcams and Facebook. I'm old school and just don't want to mess with learning a new search engine or whatever they are. LOL. Ok I'm gonna share now. Just please still do the plants. There's a lot of people in my groups who would love to have that in depth info as well. Thank you for coming back.😄

      Thank you. I definitely appreciate the support I never imagined I could have this kind of support. I am definitely blessed to have such amazing people supporting my endeavor so that is why I was even more motivated to come back. In regards to the educational videos I will DEFINITELY keep making those videos as that was my main purpose to explain in depth as I was not seeing that happening anywhere figured I’d take a shot at it. Although it won’t be my main focus it’ll still be a byproduct of all future videos and content I have planned I think this coming project will showcase even more plant videos and hopefully more fish. Thank you for the kind words it’s definitely making me more excited to keep going. Thanks for watching!

    Will it hurt to cut the leaves about half way down On Amazon sword plant ?

    • @TanksNFish
      @TanksNFish Před 2 lety

      Cutting the leaves at the base properly won’t damage the plant but snipping the leaves themselves and leaving nuns can as the plant will waste energy trying to strengthen it or melt it away. Thanks for watching!

    • @TanksNFish
      @TanksNFish Před 2 lety

      Roots can for sure be trimmed but in moderation and don’t trim entire plant at once. I’d start small and keep a close eye on it also keep in mind a plant grows it’s roots before anything so expect slow growth once trimmed

  • @raisinggoldfishonabudget7058

    I have rotala indica plant's & have a led grow light on them & their some what growing but also getting hair algae on them, I have them in a 30 gal long tank to start out with. I just got a 75 gal tank just the other day & will have to wait till spring to get it set up (got to rearrange area) but when I go to transfer the plants over to the 75 gal how do I get the hair algae off the plants & KEEP it off?

    • @TanksNFish
      @TanksNFish Před 2 lety

      Not sure if you’ve resolved this or not apologies for not getting to this faster. But algae is a whole topic on itself. The hair algae could be due to several reasons and you would need to identify the root cause to fully be rid of it and that takes time and patience. A lot of others have posted algae videos you can look up to help you with @aquariumcoop has some great content regarding algae. Thanks for watching!

I have them planted at each side of the tank but the past few days the swords on the side with least flow have become all knurled and twisted, the swords on the side with the filter are doing great. All the plants have new growth, as far as i've tested all conditions are spot on, I use root tabs and CO2, the tank has been established for a long time. I'm really confused. Oh the new growth is twisted also. Any ideas? Great vid BTW.
