Where u have the feed from tank to lift pump before you cut that line and put the feed on that same port goes to a port under the shut off valve do i need to blank this off when i cut the hose for the feed or is it okay to just cut the hose ahd leave it open?

I am confused, a Dyno measures torque and then calculates HP based on the Torque x RPM/5252 so how does he think the HP will be accurate but not the torque? Seems like the guy doesn't understand dynos, also nothing will be accurate in 3rd because of the Gear Ratio, it needs to be in a gear roughly 1:1, anything lower is a torque multiplier.
Hey Shane. Im interested in swapping out the old om617 engine in my w123 wagon for a newer om606. Do you have any pointers on these type of swaps?
The torque converter might by locking up, making you think it was grabbing 4th. Possibly.
and like you said we know these engines won’t blow at redline especially with the stock turbo stock fuel and they like high rpm, unless the bearings are shot or there’s some oil issue, we know the rods don’t like high boost at low rpm, i’d be more worried about intake cam gear slipping but very unlikely, next time just send it
that cone filter is probably restricting flow and power as well compared to the stock box, did not expect such low numbers stock
I just placed an order for 2ea. of your shut of valves. I have a comment on your video though, correct me if I'm wrong but the way I understand it, there's no reason to cut the line from the lift pump to the main filter (just keep as is).
Hi, What about the shutoff valve ? How does it turn off then?
The computer pulls the rack back, cutting off fuel. The shut-off valve just makes its about 1 second faster, but not needed.

Nothing. They can just be left open, same with fuel heater.

The best 603 is the naturally aspirated one i have here in Australia yes little slower but bullet proof and simple.
I dont see how. Im seeing guys with turbo 603 with 1000000km in forums everywhere. So evidently ur comment is baseless.
American BULLSHIT "emission regulation" was SHITTING on all european engines in the past and even now. Protection of national automotive production is calling "emission regulation", so if m3 was pushing 321bhp in europe, in america they have some 240bhp 😂😂. Same with diesels which HAVE TO come in america as sluggish as possible and as UNRELIABLE as possible.
Hi! New subscriber, I have the Ssangyong 2.9 liter td 602 clone in my 2006 Musso. I have an M series Bosch injector pump running 5.5s, and am wondering if skipping the 6mm and installing 7mm elements would be of any benefit. Do the 7s not fit, or are the 6s just better for the application?
It depends on your power goal. 6 mm are good for 90-100 CC. They an make more, but its too long of an injection duration, not good. 7 to 8 mm is recommended for wanting more than 90 CC.

@@booobies11111 The computer tells the EDC on the pump to pull the rack back, which shuts down the fuel delivery. That's how it is done on mechanical pumps anyway. The SOV is just extra to make it shut down quicker.

For 2 days I was stuck and couldn’t get my car to start. Thanks to you I managed to bypass the fuel heater and pre filter and found out my air leak actually was situated between the lifting pump and filter. Now it starts and runs like a clock. I cannot thank you enough for the tips!
What do you suggest. Om606 Forged internals Na cam Upgraded springs K2500 w 4l80 Would like 5-600 usable hp Which elements (95 606 pump) and recommended turbo

I don't have an NA 602 kit.
What makes the M pump more desirable than the MW?
It's tunable. You can adjust off boost and on boost fueling with the external ALDA.
Another advantahe is that the OEM Mercedes Bosch 6mm elements fits the M-pump.

There should be washers under the nuts holding the pump to engine. I also have a yellow mark on my pump from dieselmeken, can be hard to see when the engine are in the car, can use a mirror, phone camera...
However, the yellow mark on the dieselmeken built m-pumps is to be set at 23-24° before TDC. Not 10° after TDC like the green mark in this video.
Yes, there should be washers under the nuts. My engine didn't come with them and I didn't bother putting them on as I just use this engine to test run the pumps I build.
Is there a factory marking where you put the green line on the inside of the pump?

What does it mean if it doesn’t stay on any set number and bounces around to sorts of higher numbers than your 1.7 average, everything was did exactly how you did it with save setting on multimeter
i have a hybrid k14 ,but when fitted i get oil coming out of the exhaust side ,then going back to the standard k14 i get less oil to none , . any idea why ?

the kit works good the power and torque gains vs the stock setup is just wow the only concern i have is the hot side of the new turbo is extremely close to the right brake line the brake fluid inside is getting super hot for sure and the coolant hose going to the climate valve is against the turbo wastegate solenoid bracket the other little thinks that needs to be take care is the pressure hose going to the solenoid is to close to the exhaust manifold and getting a lot of heat from it and that is all i will be taking care of at some point verry sun and i just ordered a 3bar map to replace the stock one and see if that stops the defueling issue at wot
So, the stock pump with stock engine is ~24° before tdc but you put 10° after tdc with that very nice custom pump like the om 60× series?
Correct. That way all pumps we sell at benzinjection.com are all 10' ATDC.
