I tried to Google maps the two cities these panzergrenadiers were trying to defend. One was in Ukraine and the other in czechoslovakia, so I'm guessing this was a fictitious location for the training lesson.
German army was 30%-40% more effective than any other army of the time.

Wir müssen mal wieder was starten Jungs! Über die Alpen runter nach Italien. Dann rein nach Afrika. Alles plattmachen. Zur Atlantikküste und übersetzen nach Südamerika. Da wird denen ordentlich eingeheizt. Parallel über die italenische Flanke nach Frankreich rein. 3 Tage und die geben auf. Dann machen wir Spanien und Portugal platt. Damit die nicht in Südamerika dazwischen funken. Okay, das ist der Plan. Wenn Südamerika erstmal etabliert ist kann man vin dort aus weiter nach Mexico durchstoßen. Wir können einen Nichtangriffspackt mit den USA nutzen um Mexico aufzuteilen. 6 Monate später wenn wir genug Material und Soldaten zusammen haben wird durchstoßen nach Texas. Von dort Kalifonien. Und dann im. Schachbrettmuster weiter bis die Amis aufgeben. Kanada wird unserer neuer Freund. Da brauchen wir nicht rein. Dann jedoch von Nordafrika nach Osten. Die Ölfelder sichern. Rein nach Indien. Über Indien nach China. Da wir nun die Amerikanische Flotte gekapert haben können wir China von zwei Seiten angreifen. Dann ganz zum Schluss Friedensvertrag mit Russland. Zwischendurch kann man nochmal Polen einnehmen. 2 bis 3 Tage. Okay, so siehts aus. Jemand Bock mitzumachen?

These subtitles are among the worst and most wrongly translated ones I have ever seen in over a decade of youtube.
The translation in EN was made by the winner (USA or GreatBritain) after the war. From an xXx (mother tongue english).

I think this movie is much more educational than our ranger handbook, I seriously doubt if our fellow officer cadets today in ROTC receive as much training and knowledge as these soldiers did 70 years ago
There's good attention paid to movement, positioning, good order in the unit, timing, etc.
Dude I'm a wannabe armchair general that loves trying real life tactics in the games I play and let me tell you, I thought the military was standardized. But wtf every other unit has a different way of doing things it's insane. I didn't know that.
