I have the watch and I had no problem reading it in sunlight and at night it's not super bright where is gonna blind you it's well worth the money and very strong took it swimming and hiking very comfortable and light weight I would recommend this watch if your trying to find watch that will last outdoors

That's called a narrow-wide chainring. It increases chain ring to chain tension and helps prevent chain drop.
