    This was my first time making the salve. I put it in a tiny Crock-Pot on low and I think it might have still gotten too hot, because the leaves are a bit crunchy. Can I still use that oil, or do you think the heat destroyed the good properties? I thought about straining it and reusing the oil with fresh plantain. What do you think

      @@marleenkerri2408 I would use the oil and test it. You can always remelt once you add the beeswax if you find it’s not potent. My leaves are a little crunchy when it done too. Make sure when you strain it you don’t get any water in it. Did you put it directly in the crockpot or in a jar in the crockpot?

    Have you done this tincture using apple cider vinegar with the mother? I heard it's ok to do but doesn't last as long. Would it be made the same way? I can't seem to find a tutorial on it.

      @@gilbertcammarn874 hello! We have not used apple cider vinegar to tincture peppers as we do not believe it would be effective enough to draw out the medicinal properties. We do love apple cider vinegar with the mother for many other things though!

    Thank you so much. One question is that I don't have fresh Cayenne peppers, can the same be done with dry Cayenne? I have some 35K and 90K HU.

      @@rgrea2 yes! However since dry peppers are more concentrated, you will only fill the jar 1/2 way with peppers then fill the jar with the alcohol; 80 proof or higher, preferably 100.

      I’ve read about using fresh leaves. If I remember the issue is the water content it produces in the oil. I’ll try to find the article.

    I have a good friend Michael and he have had 4 heart attacks and I told him not to eat lasagna and especially made with extra beef and all that cheese and ect.. so I told him to lay off the stuff and just please start eating healthy and I told him I'm from Louisiana and we believe in the cayenne pepper. And I told him about the tincture that stopped an heart attack in 30 seconds and also it was another per in the early 2003 it helped a person with cancer cells was gone and I admire your techniques and I'm getting weekend and prepare Incase if anybody have any heart attacks I pray that all stay heart healthy I really appreciate your channel and GOD BLESS YOU ALL

    Good evening. I greatly enjoyed the video. I was wondering if you had made one on how to tincture dried cayenne peppers? I just bought some dried peppers to use but wanted to make sure I did it right. Would you still use the 1:5 method as when using dried herbs? Or just fill the jar and then fill with vodka?

      Hello! Thank you for watching and commenting, we have not made one using dried cayenne but you can use dried! Textbook is 1 part dried cayenne to 5 parts 100 proof Vodka, Folk method is 50/50 with dried cayenne and Vodka. With fresh Cayenne, fill the jar all the way except an inch or two of top, then fill jar to top with 100 proof vodka.( reason is that fresh cayenne contains allot of water and more is needed therefore)

It's name here is Giant Turkish Plantain, and is a variety of Plantago Major, both names of which I am quite sure are NOT in Google translate's database. Google translate completely massacres translations with many languages. It's so bad it could get someone in real trouble rather than just causing a snicker or a belly laugh. Swahili is one language that the translations, both to and from English, are completely useless, unless it is a Christian Bible verse that is being translated.

      Hello! Yes, can you believe it? And it’s a weed that grows so easily. To me it tastes like mild spinach. I’ve had it raw in salads & smoothies, steamed and sautéed. All delicious!

      @@BelindaTN let me know your thoughts. It’s truly very mild. You might find that you enjoy it cooked as well. I have a friend that can’t eat spinach but can eat lambs quarters. We had it growing wild on our farm in NYS and she would come and fill bag fulls being so delighted that she could eat it.
