My solution to my blade wiggle problem was use longer and and possibly widening the holes for the screws. I also have used the tape method you suggested too

I've recently bought the Ep3 Ani lightsaber from Padawan Outpost but noticed my power on activation is actually the smaller button near the bunny ears. I'm confused as I've not seen anyone else other than me who has the turn on button there instead of where yours is.

I saw another review for wayfinders where they go through all of the standard kybers, but skipped the force guidance ones. I wanted to know if they did anything different from the standard Vader and Yoda kybers, and it looks like they do. Thanks for covering those too. May I suggest adding time stamps for the different voice sets? It would be really useful if someone is looking for a particular set of quotes.

for people wondering why their saber does not notify them when its charging, this could be for a multitude of reasons A. you left it off charge for so long it has no power to actually say low battery, B. idk man this is purley my experience with my saber from saberforge

Hey Paul... Thanks for such a thorough video, I'm making my first trys at custom fonts, and I'll admit it's not going as smoothly as I'd hoped... I'm pretty sure my board is a 3.0, as it's short and black with the standard slide MicroSD port, rather than some weird swivel port. Anyway, my questions: 1. You mention backing up the original files, but as my saber did not come with a memory stick, just an open port for one, all my original files are on internal memory. IS there some way to back up THOSE files? Or are they just chip-burned into the base board memory? 2. I've downloaded my current test files from greyscalefonts, and after seeing you pull the additional files from the proffie version of the font you're converting, went back an pulled the Proffie versions of all the fonts I'd gotten [they'd been available for Xeno3, so I'd pulled those first] to do the same thing you did in the video...only the fonts are missing altogether several of the 'necessary' files...what do I do in that case? 3. When I put the microSD in my saber [AFTER having updated the config file to specify that my saber is NOT a pixel blade], it apparently did an update, and my female voice became male [and rather reminded me of Anakin's voice], and I suddenly gained the up to 6 button flash functions, and of course, my fonts completely changed...however - since I can't compare the original config file to the new one, there's definitely color issues...like it's still wanting to use a pixel effect, even though they should all be turned off. The effect is that rather than just a quick fade or black out on turning off the blade, the color suddenly shifts to blue, THEN turns off. AND to make it even worse, getting it to let me change the blade color AT ALL is basically impossible. I can change fonts [most easily with the app], but the blade color stays the same purple - with the blue flash on deactivation...I don't use purple, so you can imagine my frustration... Oh, and full normal function resumes if I shut down and remove the card, then reboot. Female voice and color change as well... I know it's a lot, and I apologize...but I really wanna make progress on this, as I have a Xeno[hopefully 3] board Luke saber from RotJ WITH a pixel blade coming at the end of this week, and I REALLY wanna just override the whole 'changeable font' thing to lock it into a green saber with the most authentic Luke font I can find. I ordered it specifically to be my Luke RotJ saber, and nothing else...please help in any way you can. Oh, and since you recommended it to someone else, I was gonna look at that group...but I don't have social media. I'm not a fan. Sigh. Thanks in advance, even if you don't answer. I appreciate you doing your best to get this information out there...

The fisrt time I changed my saber it said charging I had to. Leave it for about a montg now when I plug it in no charging sould can the battery be so dead it won't charge do I need a new battery or is my saber completly broke

Solid review Paul, glad the weathering is better on the Shin. I enjoyed the fonts and the extra info also and love that PO will load them for you if you need it. My only feedback would be I'd like to see the saber closer up in your reviews if possible please 😊 I've got the TXQ Shin and went with Ksith fonts on mine this time round. When I've weathered it I will share pics

A few thoughts. I owned most of these (except Bigfoot). Maskatron was a bit of a bust. His limbs would fall off a lot. Most of Steve's outfits were boring lesiure suits, not a lot of undercover looks for a spy figure. The Jaime doll was pretty awesome except for the hair which would bush up and get tangled. The Fembot doll was pretty awesome. It has different faces you could swap and even a red wiglet and hood. The Oscar doll's exploding briefcase was dangerous. You could barely get it closed without it flying open in your face.

Once they add a flicker blade style (hopefully) the xeno3 will be a perfect budget board

Thanks for the great review. Definitely considering getting one of these now that they've made the improvements. I recently got the updated Obi Ep1 hilt - this one has also been updated, and includes a better activation button plus a screen accurate blade plug (shame the Qui didn't get one). The one big down-side with the new Obi 1 though has to be the volume - the sound venting on the pommel isn't great, rendering it definitely a much quieter sound.
