hello good I am a lifeguard from Argentina and a lifeguard from Spain. I would like to know if you could inform me about the coast guard course for helicopter rescue swimmers I would like to take said course but I would like to know the location, cost and times or who I can contact

Despite a ground briefing many people being rescued try and grab for the door of the helicopter as they are reaching it attempting to pull themselves in failing to realize that by not keeping their arms down they risk a huge fall unless they are in a rescue basket which we don't have in Australia.

I’ll never understand why Cop’s aren’t physically trained and made to stay physically fit like THIS! Most civilians can beat TS outta most Cop’s AS SEEN right here on YT and that is very pathetic.

A perfectly good video ruined by stupid music

I went through rescue diver training years ago. This was a great video, and I sure appreciate all that these young men do in service to our country.

Now those are real men. As a former coastie myself, I could only wish to have been able to go into the AST rate, but my swimming skills were not very good, plus I had breathing issues. So I became a Boatswain’s mate instead. It still was an exciting job being able to help other people in the water, but in another manner. Semper P. ⚓️

Every person wishes they had done something like this with their lives. If Max Wind has a sailboat issue, thank you in advance for saving my ass!

Really impressive, especially the taming of the freaked out victim. In real life it is very scary to save a totally freaked out person fighting you, the water, the waves, the rotor wash, and getting them into the helo. WOW. You guys are awesome. From USMC grunt, all RESPECT!!!!

The toughest 11 weeks of my life were in Cape May, NJ, Jan-Mar of 1974. Especially Ceremonial Holds weeks. A NC boy had no idea how cold it could be up there. Thanks for your service. Semper Paratus.

There's no point in swimming underneath the casualty, just swim around them, it's less demanding and you may lose orientation in rough seas
