Greeks eat a lot fresh fruit etc,beans in a can is mostly for tourists and is easy to find.

Sorry but things are not as you said, unless you 've been in some remote village not in cities. Yes you can't throw paper in the toilet in old buildings though it's ok in new ones. I'm 64 and never been in public toilet that cannot be locked. Canned beans are everywhere in super markets and actually are kind of cheap food, finding a bus driver smoking in the bus, will lead to having him arrested, this stopped happening maybe 30 years ago, the same with taxi drivers unless the customer agrees. You know it's ok to say you don't like something but lying is quite low.

Cultural shocks I experience in UK . Waiting at least 7 months to get an appointment in a hospital(gp normally offers paracetamol doesn't matter what you have) . I've been to hospital (urgent care department) and we were just chatting because no mri, x-rays equipment was existed, those where in another hospital.. Ridiculous) . Getting in stores (shoe/clothes/home etc) and staff doesn't ask if you need any help. I have literally chasing a member of staff to get some information . Many bus drivers if the close the door and they see you the just leave (In Greece if that happens is an exception, maybe because people have still some humanity skills there) . If you finish work after 18:00 and you wanna go for a walk to the stores to get some new staff or you want to enjoy a coffee guess what.. It's a not!! Country feels like a ghost town after after 19:00. Unless you are an alcoholic (which is quite common here), then yes plenty of pubs maybe until 00:00 (In Greece my friend finished work at 00:00 and we were going to eat souvlaki and talking a walk next to seaside with other people walking around) Do you need more things? Because trust me there are many more. Those where just the basics

Tofu? Why should we have that kind of food? Most people don't know what exactly is, including me! There are canned beans is super markets. And again, why throw toilet paper int the toilet when there is a bin next to the toilet.

Immigration can have ridiculously long lines - especially in New York City. And they are not known to be the most friendly people there... If you prefer warmer weather, go to Tampa, FL or Austin, TX next time. Those are great places too
