I would never send my kids to an Aurora School. The taxes in Illinois are extremely high ,let me say that again , EXTREMELY HIGH TAXES!

Interesting no mention of Aurora Central Catholic High School must not have paid enough to Living in Chicago.

A troubling fact is that in June of 2020 Naperville was visited by rioters that shut down the downtown area. Does not seem that there was enough law enforcement. Perceived safety level could be questioned.

The Fox Valley Park District does not equally maintain all of their properties that they have. They focus primarily on their main facilities that make them look good. Since they have elected officials on their board.

Oswego 308 has 3 grade schools and 1 middle school within the borders of the City of Aurora

Special Things to Note: Waubonsie HS has an amazing Fine Arts program. Their musical programs have a huge Christmas concert every year (called "Prism") which is always sold out within the first day tickets go online-- it's known throughout the area to be an excellent show. The event showcases the multiple choirs (show choir, womens, mens, accapella, and more), bands (in addition to the standard bands by grade, they have a jazz band, marching band, and more), and orchestras. In the Spring, Waubonsie hosts a district-wide Art Show, where the entire first floor of the school is fixed up so that students from every school in the district and in every grade get their artwork highlighted. Every band, choir, and every orchestra get to perform, and the schools all celebrate their students. It's a wonderful uplifting day for everyone. The skill level of the music and art students are amazing. Growing up, my own school bands never sounded half as good, and the artwork produced by the Senior class is comparable to that of professionals. If you want your child to have an outstanding education in the Arts, District 204 is the best place to be, imo. Their theatre stage productions also excel above most, and the staff does an excellent job of teachinf skills both on-stage and behind the scenes. We live in the Far East section near Waubonsie. But don't let the video intimidate you-- our house value is far lower than the ones he highlighted, and there are a lot of homes in the District 204 and DuPage County section of the city that are very affordable, and also in some VERY nice low-crime neighborhoods. You also have MANY miles of paved BIKE TRAILS here: Gilman Trail, The Fox River Trail, and more. All of them are scenic and lovely, with ample parking areas along the way so you can save your energy for riding the trails. Much of the trail system is shaded in the summertime, and there are many picnic tables and rest areas along the various trails. There are food maps for the trails online, at the Fox Valley Park District website. The city has THREE very large Public Library branches and a nice Bookmobile. The Park District has a wide variety of programs and activities for all ages, and multiple buildings for hosting all kinds of events. Aurora is a very welcoming place with lots of family friendly things to do year-round. And if you somehow get bored here or need to work in Chicago, there are two Metra Rail stops that go to downtown Chicago's Union Station.

When you discussed Phillips Park, you neglected to mention the best part of that area: the POOL. The Phillips Park Pool has an inclined swimming area, lap lanes, a playsand area, a water play area, a dive pool, and multiple water slides. (I dont like most slides, but there is one here that is not too fast or too tall, so I enjoy it a lot. The other is faster and steeper.) Best of all, it has a Lazy River to float on and enjoy for all ages. There is another similar pool over by Blackberry Farm. They are both very well-maintained and very clean.

You should check out View St. & Illinois Ave or Liberty & Claim St. It's amazing there!

Far Southeast Aurora is a perfect choice for those who cannot afford Naperville. Same school district short drive to Naperville.

Wheaton is a nice quiet suburb. I shopped there many times while working in Naperville. NLU had a campus there in the late 80s early 90s which I attended as well.
