The STORY of this abandoned flooded Playstation 1 (PS1) console game 🎮, 🕹️:
I spend my days scouring 🔍 thrift stores for worn, abandoned, and damaged electronics, challenging myself to repair and restore them 🛠️. While hunting for a Sega Mega Drive 2🎮, I spotted a flooded PlayStation slim in the background of an ad, in terrible condition. I contacted the owner, who kindly gave it to me for free, having lost hope of it ever working again. This video documents the 36-day journey of restoring this console, given my care and attention to detail. I hope you enjoy watching it! 🎮🔧
In this video:
The restoration begins with a comprehensive cleaning 🧼, taking apart the console and tackling every component. A meticulous 4-step wash 🚿 ensures all flood remnants are erased. The ABS plastic will undergo a retro-brightening treatment 💡 to remove any discoloration, while rusty metal trays are refreshed with a nickel-plated finish 🛠️.
Moving on to repairs 🔧, a broken screw mount is reinforced with epoxy resin. The PS1’s lens receives a detailed overhaul 👓, and the circuit board is cleaned to address any water damage 🧽. Electrical connections, including the AC power socket and AV video plug, are re-soldered 🔌, and the power switch is restored 💡. He told me that he and his three brothers used to play with this console all the time during their vacations and free time, nearly 30 years ago. 😊 The console had suffered minor damages many times, but their father always fixed them. 👨👦👦 Howev...
I don’t understand the point of faking a video like this. There is clearly not enough corrosion on the board or inner screws for this to have been real. The “dust” is literally just dryer lint, and some other effects. On top of that you have over a thousand bot comments on this video that are programmed to mention your “level of detail” or give facts about whatever clone this is supposed to be. Does the ad revenue from this video even cover the cost of the botted metrics, the time you took to fabricate the dirt, the time you took to clean up your own mess, and the clone? Lastly, I’m certain less than 10% of the organic views here believe this is real, so you’re probably not getting any click through to your channel or videos.
He has to record the entire process because the owner would never believe what they received back was the same device.

Hi BRO, Actually I just started to record my works, but some projects doesn't work at the end and I don't upload them. it is why I have just 2 videos, I had a failed project on a SEGA too that I didn't upload, I try to restore something challenging rather than easy target ones, so it is expected some of them not to work at the end.

Did you put the colored buttons back in the wrong positions? Before it was cleaned the yellow buttons were left and up (the Y and X of a SNES controller.) After your restoration they are left and down (Y and B.) What do the extra buttons do anyway? Are they turbo (repeat) buttons for A and B? There's only a single 8-bit shift register on the circuit board (at least that's what it looks like; I can't make out any numbers on the chip.) That would imply that they can't be extra inputs, except the contacts lead directly to pins on the shift register. Incredible restoration. The final console at the end looks fantastic.
