Its so relaxing to watch these blue tits feeding .put the feeders next to a bush to give them protection.
Whether you like them or not, starlings can be a nuisance. But they have a right to live too, so I tolerate them. There are about a hundred nesting just four houses away, and they visit my garden quite frequently. Unfortunately, these bird feeders aren’t starling-proof, as you can see in the video.
It realy does work what i have done to these Orchids .
Your potting mix surprises me after watching hours of other Orchid growers using bark, perlite combining moss. That looks way too heavy of soil for an orchid. How do your roots get air? The orchids are gorgeous, so you obviously are experienced and know your ways around the Orchids. 😅

How did your melons do last year? I am in New Jersey, US and have not had great success with melons. I will try again this year as you inspired me to try.
They thrived remarkably well. However, because I was experimenting, I planted two plants in one pot. The fruits ended up being only the size of cricket balls, but incredibly sweet. Last year, I tried once more, this time using organic farmyard manure, and they grew larger. They were a different variety but still turned out to be exceptionally sweet. Living in the UK, where the weather conditions aren't typically conducive to growing melons outdoors in containers, I was pleasantly surprised by their success. Encouraged by this, I've bought seeds of different melon and watermelon varieties to try growing them again in containers here in the UK. I'll follow the same method and see how they fare.Tried to grow them vertical but not as good as growing them horizantal .and dont try and grow to many on one plant.and also soon as you see female plant polinate it with the male plant ,female flower tend to shut very quickly .

Thank you for your comment. I'm currently in Essex and I'm looking forward to experimenting with the cultivation of various tropical fruits and vegetables once the weather becomes warmer. I've recently acquired some fig and crimson grape cuttings from Cyprus, and I'm excited to attempt to grow them, particularly focusing on melons and watermelons.

Suprising what you can grow in small space in a small garden,This year will be excperimenting on Tropical plants to see if they can be grown in uk,just recive CRIMSON RED SEEDLES very sweet grapes from cyprus and ASPRA very light green skin figs ,Giant Watermelon , Giant sweet melon and Celeriac.will try to see if they grow in UK.
Starlings are very distructive when they are in flocks.
