    What do you go by when you're looking at a deck play style because I found out different names of different play styles aggro, control(stun,burn)? combo, mid-range, ramp, hybrid

    • @ggGio
      @ggGio Před 21 dnem

      @@skyknightking0 for modern yugioh I normally categorize decks as either control, midrange, or combo. Control decks can’t play through huge boards and usually use their cards to control/minimize the board state. These decks really excel in simplified game states. Think something like labrynth, traptrix or even ritual beast. Midrange are decks that can play through interruptions to build their board, can pop off really hard if they have enough gas, but their combos tend to be more limited and linear. Decks like branded or snake eyes fall into this category because you can usually tell pretty easily what their next play will be while they combo and what they’re trying to do. Combo would be a deck that is all gas, trying to build the most unbreakable board, or ftk you. There aren’t really many combo decks that are playable right now but something like mannadium a few formats ago definitely fits the bill

    • @NoSuccGaming
      @NoSuccGaming Před 23 dny

      Possibly cut both, and Solemn in this deck is hard because you rarely are using the solemn to secure a game shot so you often use it and then just continue playing a mid tempo game that your opponent can come back in. Idk about Dasher. You can't send it off of future to make Gaia, so seems like another dead card. At least with alius if you mill stratos early you can still make Gaia off future fusion. Feel like plasma would be a better target because it is an 8 and can use the dandy tokens

    • @NoSuccGaming
      @NoSuccGaming Před 24 dny

      plasma does nothing for you to gain advantage unless you hard draw it with trade-in and also cannot make gaia. If you mill the stratos early or open it you simply threaten with an absolute zero and still send a plant to GY. Dasher is a 1 tribute too so that makes it a fine card to draw as its a good discard for karma due to the GY effect or you can tribute a monster stolen with brain con or mark.

      @@ggGio I do wonder though, could you explain what extenders are? Using Unchained (master duel) as an example, are extenders: 1. cards like Sarama that are integral to a deck’s combo yet not starters themselves, 2. cards like Abominable Unchained Soul which are not integral to a deck’s main combo yet can be added to the deck as sort of an in-archetype tech card with easy synergy, or 3. cards like Dark Contract with the Gate which can be used in conjunction with your deck’s main combo to further raise the power of your endboard? Which one of these types of cards are considered extenders and what would the other types of cards be referred to as in terms of deck building?

    • @ggGio
      @ggGio Před měsícem

      @@TheSonicZero All the cards you mentioned could be considered extenders! Shyama and Sharvara fit that category too. Extenders are more or less cards that let you keep summoning monsters to continue building a board. Some are much better than others depending on how easily and frequently they are able to be used. Something like abom soul is an extender but not as good as sharvara because you have to wait for a card to be destroyed to summon it which you can't always do. Unchained is a unique example because most of the cards work together to keep extending and floating into more monsters. A lot of the time when you build a deck, many of your cards will be extenders. Its a very generic term to be honest and is thrown around kind of loosely in yugioh

      I definitely feel like Branded is the best variant at the moment. Pure looses to often to more than one handtrap, which is just too common at the moment with stuff like Tenpai, or Snake-Eyes being so popular. The Melodious engine technically has a higher ceiling than Branded, but leaves you too little room for non engine. That makes going second against Snake-Eyes nearly impossible. Also it makes your ED super tight, which I don't like either. The Branded engine gives you another starter and leaves room for non engine. But I think Fiendsmith will replace the Branded engine, when it comes out.

I watched this video when it first came out and I’ve been testing with this variant quite a bit and I really like this deck, but I feel like the lack of non-engine really kills some of my games as I can’t gas through their boards or one interruption just ends my turn. Do you feel as though Pure Chimera with HTs would be slightly better to take to a regional over the Melodious package variant, or is the melodious stuff just too good to pass up? @ggGio Před 2 měsíci

      You could def play breakers like droplet or something, only issue is you cant send pend monsters for cost so just be aware of that. As for if the bacha gets negated, I usually just normal summoned something else from my hand and linked into cross-sheep, or used it as fusion material for a magnum and then continued link climbing. Its very hand dependent but gravity controller doesnt have the same benefits as pure melodious because you can't link it off after so there's not really a point in using it
