Hello, my name is Cory Gabel. I have been in and around RVs since I was about 6 years old and In 2016, while I was still in college I was given the opportunity to start working in the RV industry as a salesman with Custom RV Inc.. In January 2024, I decided to switch things up and make the move to Fun Town RV.
I always strive to educate my customers on everything to do with the RV lifestyle instead of just selling RVs like a high pressure used car salesman and I ALWAYS put safety before the sale with any customer. There is so much more to RVing than just picking out your dream RV like how to operate it and maintaining it.
I truly believe every RV ever made is the “best” for a different reason and that is my main goal of this channel is to showcase both where each Rv featured in the channel is great at but also where they may lack in some way or feature.

Does the AC run off of the solar power? Or do you have to be hooked up to power to run it? Everything on ours is running off of the solar except for the microwave the AC :(
The AC does not run off solar. You’d need shore power or a generator to run that

what is the insulation on the front and ceiling?
Ceiling and front is fiberglass batten. The rest is block foam.

@diaperdood1 they can’t do block foam in those areas because the fiberglass batten insulation is easier to work with in these areas with the curvature.
@@RVingwithCory i was always curious about that because why does lance and coachmen use block foam on the front cap, back walls, sidewalls, floor, and ceiling?

So you can’t use android in floors. It’s plywood decking. The exterior walls are all azdel though

I believe there would be if you load it through the side door. You might have to take the front wheel off or if you have folding bikes it might work better.

What is different from the 2024 and the 2025 model?
As of right now, nothing. If they are doing interior or equipment changes we will probably see them in September or October.
Not to bad things I don’t like are televator they always break, hate side by side fridge, and no inverter is pretty sad. It costs so little for a manufacturer to put 600 watts bare minimum or more worth of solar panels on the roof done correctly from the factory with the mount points marked and wiring ready to add more panels if customers want to or not keeping with the roof warranty. You don’t have to put a bank of batteries just what you normally do because every customer will put the kind of battery system in they want. For instance I prefer 48v rack system lithium batteries, a little more expensive but 3 of those will be equal to 10 AGM’S or 6 to 8 regular lithium batteries taking up so much space is ridiculous. But a 2 or 3 thousand watt inverter should be standard.
Thank you for the comments. The reason they don’t do the inverter is because of the 12 volt refrigerator. It doesn’t need one. Most people are telling the manufacturers they don’t need the extra batteries because most people don’t go dry camping in these and are going to RV parks.
What is the sub floor material used on this RV?
I believe this one had 5/8 inch tongue and groove plywood floors
What is the X on the end mean?
Fiberglass sides instead of metal sides.
Beautiful unit with near-perfect features (would prefer queen bed in bedroom) , but price is way above my pay grade 😂. Maybe I’ll look for a used unit a couple years down the road 🤷♂️
Most dealers don’t stock it with the queen bed. The king is way more popular.
What kind of SUV or Truck will tow this?
I would recommend a 3/4 ton truck but some of the newer 1/2 ton trucks will be able to handle it.

I just wish they would get rid of the plastic bath sinks. You spend the money on dove tail drawers and high end finishes. but the cheap sink in the bathroom just doesn’t make sense.
The new ones I believe are black stainless. I’ll have to go double check because they changed it mid year for 2024

Yes it does. They are the black vents set into the overhead cabinets

And it’s something you don’t see in regular 5th wheels much. Brinkley and Durango Gold are the only 2 that do this.
How is the airflow from the windows? I noticed so many of the side windows do not open (kitchen-bedroom) I like a breeze, will this unit give it to me?
You do get pretty good airflow in these especially if you’re running the big max air fans.
Other than the outside panels what difference is there between the black label and the standard

No way! These are the best built units out there.
Great video, love this 5th wheel. Only comment, is with the bedroom, I've seen some campers with king beds, that have no bedside tables due to the king bed. So I appreciate the one table, however I agree it would be nice to see another table. Also would prefer the windshield space be taken up by a full wardrobe with a washer/dryer hookup, to give more bathroom space and a window on both sides of the bed.
No pantry!!!!! Catalina 18mld has one.
The Catilina is similar to the 20OG which does have a pantry

Yes. Way better than most of Forest River’s stuff. (Excluding Cedar Creek)
I think all the hate towards them is China made components but what isn’t China or Foreign made nowadays. Personally I think they are a thorn in the side of USA manufacturers.

It depends on where you’re going to be spending the winter. If it’s in the south, yes it’s winter rated, if it’s in Montana, Wyoming, or North Dakota, there isn’t a camper built that’s rated for the winters up there.

It depends on where you are full timing. If it’s in the south, you’ll be fine, if it’s in North Dakota, there isn’t a camper out there good for that.
