Hand feeding Lorikeets
We watched a child feeding sugar to a pair of Lorikeets in Sydney, Australia. The birds were going from table to table looking for left over packs of sugar to rip open.

Hand feeding a Kookaburra
zhlédnutí 2,1KPřed 7 lety
The Kookaburra is an iconic Australian bird. Many are game enough to take - or steal - food from humans. This one regularly visited the balcony and I was able to film it being hand fed. The bird takes the food and then knocks the food against the balcony in order to 'kill' what it has caught. Visit theworklife.com for more videos, photos, and updates.

Confluence of Rhône and Saône - Lyon, France
zhlédnutí 3,6KPřed 7 lety
The rivers Rhône and Saône meet in the centre of the city of Lyon, France. This confluence of two powerful rivers happens without dramatic flare but is impressive all the same. The resulting river continues the name Rhône. Visit theworklife.com for more. Music used under licence by Farnham.
No more stairs - apartment moves made easy with a moving platform
zhlédnutí 618Před 7 lety
Removal companies in France use trunk based moving platforms to avoid needing to use stairs and escalators. These apartment blocks often have tiny staircases and, when lifts are fitted, they are rarely large enough to move furniture up and down in. The solution is to have a platform lift everything to and from an apartment window to the street level. Visit theworklife.com for more.
Pérouges - French medieval hilltop town

Pérouges is a stunningly preserved medieval hilltop town in the Rhône Alpes region of France. An easy thirty minute train journey from the city of Lyon, Pérouges made for a great day trip. We visited one Saturday in May 2016. Aerial Acrobatics - La Bibliothèque municipale de Lyon
zhlédnutí 65Před 8 lety
We watched a woman performing acrobatic stunts on the side of the public library in Lyon. Most of the people milling into and out of the big train station did not seem to notice her. We stopped and enjoyed the show for a few minutes. Searching on the library's web site www.bm-lyon.fr did not reveal any information about the event; I presume it must have been organised and part of something form...
Street tree felling in Lyon, France

The trees along part of Cours Lafayette in Lyon have been cut down. We happened upon one of the trees being felled and I filmed from the safety of the opposite side of the road. Visit theworklife.com for more.
Nutty Squirrel
zhlédnutí 248Před 8 lety
Squirrel with seed or nut in Lyon's Parc de la Tête d'Or. The park is a large inner city green space in France. The squirrel was loud enough to be heard from the path we were walking along. Runners and others were nearby but the squirrel felt safe enough to stare down and continue eating, even when I stopped and filmed. For more visit theworklife.com Music by www.bensound.com

Christmas Lights in Lyon, France
zhlédnutí 2,5KPřed 8 lety
The centre of Lyon is lit up with Christmas lights and decorations. We walked out this week to see the spectacle. The traditional Christmas Market is back again this year; it is held near the train station. After the big light festival was cancelled, these lights were our conciliation. Christmas Village in our local Garden Center
zhlédnutí 45Před 8 lety
Botanic, the French garden store company, create a Christmas Village within their store each year. We live near the Lyon store and it always makes for a fun visit. The model village and alpine scene this year were particularly fun. Other models were behind plastic and difficult to film; regrettable as in previous years glass has been used. Fête des lumières / Festival of Lights 2015
zhlédnutí 590Před 8 lety
Watch highlights from Lyon's festival of lights in 2015. While the official light festival was cancelled due to recent attacks in Paris, the crowds came out and candles were placed in windows. A few larger art exhibits were on show. It was a good night without incident. Visit theworklife.com for more. Music by Bengfang - used under licence.

It's obvious that the sound a phone or camera picks up is different than the sound experienced in person.
Tooop vedeo
It's only the French who would take such an academic approach to a parking garage, work so well with the concrete and then maintain the rotating central element and lighting :D

“God is the one who caused two bodies of water to flow, one palpable and sweet, the other salty and bitter. He placed a barrier between them, a partition that they are forbidden to surmount”. ( Quran 25:53) “He causes two bodies of water to flow and meet together, but between them is a barrier that they cannot surmount”. (Quran 55:19-20) “ who has made the earth firm to live in, made rivers in its midst, set on it immovable mountains, and made a barrier between two bodies of flowing g water? (Can there be another) god beside God. No, but most of them do not know”. (Quran 27:61) “Nor are the two bodies of flowing water alike, for one is palatable, sweet, and pleasant to drink, while the other is salty and bitter. Yet from each you eat fresh and tender meat and extract ornaments to wear. You see ships therein that sail through the waves that you may seek the bounty of God and be grateful. (Quran 35:12)

Hi, I am Sukma Hidayat from State University of Jakarta. In order to finish my assignment, I would like to ask for your permission to use this video as one of my asset sources to be used in making instructional video regarding river system. As my gratitude, I will attach your title video at the of my video and its link on my caption. Thank you so much.

High as a Kite
Absolutely stunning! I have always loved geography, and studied French in high school, so I really enjoyed this video - although my French is a little rusty :-)
Truly enjoyed watching it. 👍
From the title you could think that this is one and the same but of course there is a difference between pademelons and bennett wallabys
I love the giants

They are amazing but scary my mom and i along with my sister went this year to see them and it was fantastically beautiful The giants themselves are very stunning but very human like in many ways

The diver was the UNCLE of the little girl!
Make an Updated One!!! 2018 Edition!
If I see them again, I will be sure to make a new video.

The giants scare me
Les lutres? Otters? No they are coypus.
So qaint...beautiful...it's on my list for next travel to Europe!
ほんのりと心を豊かにさせてくれる作品です。
I know this is old but the second one was actually a Bennett's wallaby, larger build and those beautiful markings! Nice footage! <3
Thank you! I had no idea what I was looking at when I was filming this beautiful creature.
No problem! They are both amazing animals!
beautiful part of the world and I've been fortunate to visit the Highlands. every time I see a video,I miss this
I love and miss this run dearly.
Seagulls......rats with wings.
porksword8 no their not even called seagulls that's a Layperson's term. They are Gulls.. many kinds from little gull, great black backed gull, Sabine gull, swallow tailed gull, Ross Gull.. etc. They are not rats with wings they live in arctic sea regions where they eat live prey they are carnivorous and eat live fish and crabs etc. Why do you hate them so much you would call them rats? Hate filled Gull hater. Grow up.
Spectacular!
lol
damn things are in the Midwest too impaled myself on one of the spikes yesterday
Ouch. Hope you did not get hurt!
vegans say plants and trees don't feel pain why the he'll do they need spikes stingers and deadly poison berrys it's all defence and it proves plants and trees do feel pain if they dont then you don't need to protect yourself even fruit protects itself by making horrible fail smell like the noni fruit and the durian fruit with spikes and also stinky fruit inside so Ile say it again why the fuck does plant life need defence in the first place and carnivorous plants Aswel I think many plant are evolving and getting fed up of being picked eaten for the fruit and birds attacking it even the giant Victorian water Lilly's have huge spines all over the bottom and on the 5 inch stems and even the lilly pod plant has spikes on it Aswel sure you eat plants and kill a harmless mosquito that mosquito probably dident feel pain it didn't scream did it so the saying goes if it does not scream it's not living animals are different because they can push there emotions out but bugs and insects and plants can't do that if plants and bugs and insects could talk you would think twice about mowing your lawn and torturing the wasp that stung you

Bonne vue...
Good....
My Town is starting the mechanical lifting arm garbage pick up this week and by the looks of your video I'll be finding my garbage cans at the end of the street 😡😡😡
BRAVO
Why do no videos of this confluence show the image on the other side of the bridge? I'm very curious about how it looks.
+blogegog Great question. The other side is obscured by a railway track and fencing. On foot you can not see over the train line to see the river. See theworklife.com/graham-miln/2016/03/16/confluence-of-rhone-and-arve/ for a photo showing the bridge.
+Graham Miln Thanks! That has bugged me for ages. I've been curious to see how long it takes for the two lakes to homogenize completely.
If you haven't seen it yet go on Google maps or earth and look for it on satellite view.. look for a place called Jonction in Geneva (probably named after the joining of the rivers). It takes a while to fully merge but not that long because there's a bend. If it were a straight line I bet it would take a lot longer. It looks amazing after it blends though.
nice video we have something like that with us with a beautiful town hall show czcams.com/video/zMR3b-aFdW8/video.html
