I Build a Website For Lex Fridman | Full Process
zhlédnutí 5KPřed 11 měsíci
Lex Fridman have an amazing CZcams channel. And the website he currently has doesn't do any justice to his brand. So I built him a new one by just using some good old HTML and CSS. Check it out: www.iamsajid.com/lex/
this is misleading, every designs have purpose too...
We're curious...what do you use to design your site before building it? 🧐
That's exactly what I was looking for , thank you.
Wow this was really good content. Usually when it comes to ads I have the feeling to roll my eyes and skip but the ad was integrated so well to the topic of the video I was so compelled to watch through the ad as it had core information in it and not so much selling me on the product. Job well done sir.
that just opened my eyes
Auto subs
Very nice video.
This just got me unstuck thank you
vscode has emmet built in, which means you can set a keybind to wrap a selection in an element of your choice. Any emmet syntax works too. No extension needed there.
i loved the video, i am not even a designer!
bro this video is hella relatable. i am in the same situation, and it's so tiring 😭😭😭😭. i'll somehow become a fullstack developer tho, that's for sure
Fight fight fight💪
for the 500% you get the thumbs up xD
The video basically tells us the fact that your priority should be UX over UI
I see it coming... Your chanel will grow very quickly! It's unreasonable not to, cause there's too much value in your videos and it's delivered in a perfect way.
I'd say the color theory segment at 4:55 is objectively wrong, as there are plenty of areas in design, science, and psychology to back up its use. I'd even be open to sharing some resources to explain this if desired, but this is just trying to be constructive, from designer to designer; as color is an effective tool to elevate user experiences, it's hurtful to downplay, overlook, or undermine certain areas of the process if your goal is to be educational
Appreciate the feedback. I am just saying don't go too deep into color psychology. Most often we have a gut feeling about color and it's better to stick with it. My intention was to make the life of junior devs easier, and not down play the importance of colors.
wish i could add this to a playlist
The fact that the person reading the script didn't bother to fix the "English as a second language" grammar.
I'm from Brazil and the way you explain sounds like anyone can learn CSS and Design, i'm really grateful people like you exist on CZcams.
great video, thank you!
Nah bro, Also idk what car that is but the best selling car is the Toyota Corolla that looks pretty good
That's Corolla 😅
@@whosajid yeah but the 2014 was ugly lol, the point its that even if Utilitary, the corolla can look very good cause that will make it sell even more, like the new prius. the same with Webpages, a webpage that is more visualy apealing will be always be better than a generic white, minimalistic and utilitary webpage
Thank you for this 🙏🙏🙏
Dear Sajid, what you are putting is a great content. Keep doing it.
My gosh, that opening statement about creativity is gold
As a professional designer I can only say you spoke real value here. No bad advice to shoot down. On the contrary, I happen to have learned a thing or two. Didn't know that about dynamic typography syntax with slash. I use rem and vw occasionally. And usually implement 2 sets of headings, wich switch based on a breakpont for mobile. But have no idea how this / magic works Thanks for sharing brother
Dude said "Here are the most useless hacks" and proceeded to drop wisdom on max, Thanks G!! 😆
It's all about context. Just because a website is not "beautiful" does not mean that visual improvements cannot make a difference. Many of the examples you provided that are the "best" websites are based on traffic, much of this is out of necessity or a service they provide that drives them there. Chase? I need to bank, it's not a convenience or pleasure, it's a necessity. I've worked on 100MM+ revenue websites and $0 websites, functionality is key but that does not mean that it needs to look like garbage. Stop spreading this ignorant train of thought. Can an ugly website generate revenue, yes. Can a beautiful website generate revenue, yes.
Thats video is PERFECT! Thank you Subscrbe :>

Great video
Is it okay if I have to Google everything 😓

THANK YOU FOR THIS VERY USEFUL VIDEO!!!
Idk man this is how I became a web developer
I'd like to download your knowledge like a computer does.
You’ve opened my eyes. Thanks
Golden
Your videos are eye opening. May God reward you brother ❤
good video. subbed.
your ending steps on the design process is immaculate and should be used on every tutorial. Stress and being too in love with your work will make things harder. Design takes time, a lot of time and should not be rushed.
Very good, you learn me a lot
thanks
Awesome video brother. Keep it up!

You won't believe how many times I re-watched this video.
Ah yes, the pavlov enjoyer
So basically, if you want to be a developer of any kind; you need to think like an engineer. Replacing a car part doesn't teach you to be a mechanic. But, tearing apart lawn mower engines and turning them into gas-powered bicycles can get you started on the fundamentals.
Kinda. Think of it like this: if you want to be a mechanic, you can't become one by watching videos, instead you need to get your hands dirty and fix something/solve a real problem.
I never think that a video like this I will found outside university. Love for you. Keep rocking 😉
so much tought in here. thanks for sharing man, God bless you !
