T5 and Ford 9 inch whine
Still unknown where noise is coming from but noise sounds like it’s inside the transmission. But the issue is typically characterized as a differential noise

Replacing the mount of a passenger side mirror, the cheap way. ~ $90 . Should work for 2016 2017 2018 2019 and 2020 mirrors, all of the 10th generation years essentially.

Yes I put in another ring and pinion, all quiet! I was able to get a warranty gear and went with a motive gear. Super quiet so far. Still in break in but have probably close to 100 miles on the car

Not yet but I got a new gearset under warranty, but once I put it in I’ll let you know. I had to check the pattern and a bunch of other things before they warrantied it. Just need a day to put it in
@@andrewmccooey1688 what brand gear set is it ? I’ve got the same issue / similar noise with my 9 inch at highway speeds
@@hbmustangs it was quickperformance I think. I bought their cheapest gearset and the warrantied me a motive gear
Mine whined as soon as I installed it, and yeah it starts at like 25mph and continues to get louder the faster it goes. Also, it was quick-time performance, an eBay seller. Don’t recommend doing business with anybody but reputable gear companies
