Came here by reading about Pycard in 'Shirmers History of Music' while it was discussing the Old Hall Manuscript. Amazing complexity and beauty in these pieces especially Pycard.
"Vloandere" is Belgium :) interesting music. I read he was master i a choir i Bruges. My home town :)

I haven't because I tried doing that with Josquin a few weeks ago but I prefer to keep uploading videos like I'm doing with Compère. Also, I have scheduled videos of him until Wednesday, where I will follow up with Heinrich Isaac.

Fun fact: while on holiday in Switzerland I once visited a local church. There I leafed through one of the songbooks, and came across the song "Es wolle Gott uns gnädig sein". The text was by Martin Luther, and the music by Ludwig Senfl. So even today it's still possible that during church service, (some of) Senfl's music can be included in the liturgy.

I really enjoyed watching this video! I really liked the music of Godric of Finchale, William IX, Peter Abelard, and Bernard of Cluny. But I have a question : Isn't the piece by Bernard of Cluny supposed to be called "Pantheon abluitur"? From what I know it's what the piece it's called.
Yes, but in manuscripts you will not find that piece with that name, you will find it instead as the one I put in the video.
