Thanks bilbo-baggins
This one scene is better than anything that actually ended up in the movie.
Martin Freeman is cool
They should have kept this, not just because it\s great for Jack's character, but because of its thematic importance. One of the key themes of the POTC trilogy is that doing what is right and what is legal are not the same thing.
That is how we like to see you smiling and laughing, very good for the soul😊😂❤such a lovely smile
Good actors, great series... DUMB questions.
I'm fully convinced now that if I ever actually got to meet Johnny Depp or Tim Burton I would probably burst into tears of joy
Nice to see Billy mention season 1 of True Detective, that was groundbreaking in my opinion, doing stuff that films had struggled to achieve, it was more like a novel come to life.
Everyone is rightly congratulating 'people aren't cargo, mate' as a line but I really want to talk about Depp's performance in this scene, even just in this line is enough for a long discussion. Jack is one of the most boisterous and proud creatures on god's green earth. But here he isn't bragging about getting one over on The Man, he isn't actively scheming (with his words) to get the advantage on his enemies. He is just quietly disgusted and saddened by the whole affair. But there is little to no regret in his voice, he stands by his decision and is willing to take the consequences. I imagine that the village we find Calypso in held a lot of those freed slaves in the second movie. They aren't holding a vigil for a stranger, they are honoring their friend.
Amazing scene. I’m sad it wasn’t in the film. Also I love how absolutely disrespectful Jack is to Beckett at 2:25 Snatches the second cup right out of his hand as he’s about to take a sip XD
I love that he kept stealing Beckett's alcohol
"one good isn't enough to absolve a man" "But it is enough to condemn him"
"If you're offering me a seat on the board: I'm neither depraved enough nor drunk enough to accept." Wonder what that could be used to refer to today?
just wanted to know what the rules were
I really love 😂this movie
Beckett's plan from the beginning in Dead Man's Chest was to capture Jack and get Davy Jone's heart, but when the Kraken killed Jack Beckett's plan went sideways, he then ordered Jones to kill the Kraken and used his heart to control Jones, but when he heard Jack was alive he wanted him to take Jone's place as captain of the Dutchman since Beckett always knew how good of a captain Jack is he recognized his talent for negotiation aswell since Jones was too brutal and hard to control Beckett was at a loss. But in the end all his plans went to the crapper.
4:00 jack:more rum please 🥃👈🏻😂

0:16 where is that from, looks like benny and joon, where can i find it??
"People aren't cargo, mate." And there it is. Call Jack whatever you wish, most of it'll be true. But the one thing he values above everything else is freedom, freedom for all. "We fly no colors out here, but praise the lack of them. so let the black flag signal nothing but your allegiance to man's natural freedoms."
It's too bad. They're never going to make the trilogy
I am very proud of you
so at one point in time jack sparrow was clean shaven in proper naval attire and trying to do a professional job. thats a story i would've liked to see.
When he learned how to walk upright on the treadmill I almost passed out from laughing so hard.
he was ready to snatch the drink again 😂🤣😂
I understand why this scene was removed; to keep us guessing about wether or not Jack is actually a good person. But it makes other parts of the movies very confusing. The "what mark did he leave on you" question that then remains unanswered and also the people in the swamp, mourning Jack's death with candles at the end of the second movie; they are the slaves he freed, but the viewers don't know this so it's just confusing.
Disney yet again completely dropped the ball removing this scene. I honestly think the line "People aren't cargo mate" encapsulates everything about Sparrow, yes he is a criminal, a drunk, sometimes a scoundrel but at his core he has a conscience and that is why we route for him, he is a man of principle but would be damned if he let anybody knew he was.
Panic attack he sees more than you know.
He gets me rolling on the floor ,grabbing my stomach so much because of his humor.
I never understood why beckett wanted jack in his debt and the scene we got didn't emphasise that jack knew that beforehand, if this was used then it'd solve that problem so easily
Dap: I will never salute you Wiggin: Yes you will Sir Prove yourself right you'd have my respect
Harry Potter fans: All the Harry Potter villains are the most hatefully evil ones you'll ever come across in movies and no one comes close. Lord Beckett: Hold my beer
The way hes waiting for him to pour another just to steal it again at the end

“You have spared me any possibility of ending up as anything other than what I am, and for that, I truly thank you.” One of the most badass lines from Jack Sparrow. Basically gave Beckett the middle finger after he destroyed his ship, had him branded as a criminal for freeing slaves, and leaving him to die. After all of that, Sparrow sees it as a positive. He became a spectacular and more authentic version of himself after such a terrible turn of events.
WELL…point of perspective “ he was a arrogant puissant bully” you reap what you sow!!!!🤨😏
exposition between characters who dont need reminding
Ass.
its nnot deleted scene
Très bonne comédie ancienne 😅
You want to know what's even more disturbing? The fact that Peter's actor (Jimmy Pinchak) played Mark, one of the bullies in the 2010 film Let Me In. Just imagine that Peter's Mark in this scene, only older and wasn't killed in the pool.
This is truly one of the greatest deleted scenes ever and it’s a damn shame that it is, in fact, deleted. The origin of jack becoming a pirate in the fifth movie is stupid and garbage compared to this. He freed slaves, and for that he was branded a pirate and forced to run from the law. No good deed goes unpunished. But it’s more than that. In the first movie while drunk with Elizabeth on the island he was marooned on, he tells Elizabeth that a ship is more than just a form of travel, it’s freedom. But it’s more than just that. When Elizabeth says “to freedom.” Jack says “to the pearl.” Which is in a literal sense, freedom. Freedom for that “cargo”. Throughout all the main three pirates movies, characters constantly betray each other left and right, yet through it all, Jack never truly betrays anyone. Sometimes it really seems like he does, but it’s for an ulterior motive. Jack always ends up doing the right thing and making the right choices. He’s a tactical genius, a lucky bastard, and a bumbling idiot all in one. He helps will despite him betraying him and trying to take the pearl. He votes Elizabeth for pirate king despite her literally being the reason he ends up in Davy Jones’ locker. He helps everyone escape the locker even though many of them have either betrayed him, tried to kill him, or are against him. Hell, the reason why he was mutinied against in the first place is because Barbosa said that the location of the treasure should be known by everyone, and Jack, out of the fairness of his heart gave out the info. Even through his madness from the heat and his rampant alcoholism, Jack is a good person through and through. And that’s why this is by far my favorite deleted scene. Because it makes me feel justified in believing that Jack is a good guy. Sorry for the long rambling I just really enjoy these movies
Peanut.
The way he says it really sells the whole notion. He doesn't say it as a proud boast or a noble conviction, just a matter of fact. Jack isn't morally righteous character, has no qualms about stealing, killing or piracy, but doesn't delight or partake in cruelty. He's still just man, but when confronted with something as appalling as the slave trade, simply couldn't stand to be an accomplice to it. A testament to Depp's acting and a shame it was cut from the film.
❤❤❤❤ so élixir purple is with us my deppounet ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think Elizabeth and will would of had more respect for Jack if they knew he freed slaves
too much luckly there wasn't Peter in the shower, Bonzo wouldn't even go into the shower...
OCCULTIST/NEW AGER/ILLUMINATED
The fact they cut this line makes me question what they were thinking
He is sadly right. Produce golds, linens, stuff for people and they are easily made pawns to do the will of anyone in charge. Keep cargo ships going, keep them satisfied. Why we have not learned this yet and stop exploiting and ruining people, i dont know.
