Yuo, I see alot soldiers suffering from hyponatremia due to prolonged physical exercise without adequate electrolyte replenishment. The sad thing is when medic rush to provide medical help they often force the poor soldier to drink more water and this is the last straw on a camel's back, effectively killing the soldier due to a bloat brain crushing against an unexpandable skull. Our current "anti-salt" campaign is a no-brainer as it attempts to reach out the everyone without considering the lifestyle and work requirements. For those who dies from hyponatremia, they are the lucky ones while those who remains in a vegetable comatose state and being care by their poor parents or wives are the unfortunate one. Even our medic kit do not have a proper hyper saline for hyponatremia case as it would result in re-opening of previous cases and in our no-blame culture often the casualties are the real soldiers on the ground. This is very sad and tragic when our superiors lack knowledge and IQ.

Thank you for the detailed and concise explanation. Too many endurance athletes have been dying from exercise associated hyponatraemia while our doctors fail to comprehend the absence of brain edema till 24 hours later during the generation of idiogenic osmoles. Even our medical kit bag do have such concentrated IV saline and often hyponatraemia victims are identified as dehydration patients and given more water that leads to further convulsion and death. It is very difficult watching these endurance athletes dies or convulse while their trainers ridicules them for putting on a show. Hope this video can better educated the so-called "sport" scientists or ignorant doctors.
