over graining medullary rays?? Those need to be wiped out again as the grain in quarter sawn oak never cuts through them.

Mats, this is Tracy, in the US. We haven't seen each other in years (the Salons- wish I had never missed even one, but I've sadly missed so many by now). I just ran into this video of yours on Oak graining. Stunning and wonderful! I hope that you are doing well in our often confusing world of today. I cherish my association with the wonderful decorative painters and artists of the Salon that I've met over the many years, such as yourself. I pray that our paths will cross again. Should be just dry pigments, mostly earth tones. Mix stale beer or vinegar as a binder

Få nu smurt den fladpensel helt ind i maling, så hårene samles ordentligt og penslen dermed bliver væsentlig bedre/lettere at beskærer med! Typisk fejl. Håber ikke det er en faglærer på en af skolerne, der viser lærlingene at man kun behøver dyppe penslen halvt

Hvorfor lægger du penslen ovenpå linealen, og ikke ovenpå, eller lige over stregen ? Det virker da totalt irrationelt for mig at du gør det som du gør. Du tager et værktøj i brug for at effektivisere din process og samtidigt holde eller øge niveau - men du negligerer jo totalt værktøjet i sig selv, hvis du stadigvæk skal stå og koncentrere dig om linjen. Jeg vil vædde med din linje der løber tættest ved linealen, er pænere 10/10 gange, end den du selv efterlader længst væk fra linealen!?

This is a response to another mahogany faux finish that did not come even close to what I have stared at for 40 years. Now this is a very good replication of mahogany. Mine has grown darker with age but the finished piece were it darker would match my bedroom set that was crafted in the late 20's to early 30's.
