So did you use a swage block to make the bowl of the spoon?

Some people may feel collecting these types of objects is materialistic but to see the trade and craft and process to achieve a proper piece makes the beauty of the piece all the more stunning. I love silver and feel if you collect it you should use it as it was properly intended. Great video!

Hi - do you even get problems with firestain - I usually use an anti-firestain flux when I anneal - then pickle. Do you just remove it later by abrasion/polishing? Your method may be quicker than mine. I'd be very interested to hear your opinion. (The terms I use are the common ones in UK, not sure about USA.)

a drop stamp is easier to form the bowl but you can just use a lead or tin cake and a stake and sledge hammer just watch the fingers thats how it used to be done

tripoli is a buffing compound used for removing scratches, after you've sanded your work, then you polish with a rouge compound. rouge giving a mirror finish. if you follow this step this man is showing you will achieve the best result!! this man has taken time to make and upload a video to help people. insulting people stops them uploading.
