Thank you for your honesty. 5 hours! I read DIY many times and I understand that people that do this for a living can do it in 20 minutes, but me 5 hours. No one every talks about the honest time for doing the job RIGHT and I think you did pretty good. Most of all I appreciate the honesty. I installed the CURT 13416 yesterday (me and wife) and as simple as it may be, it was a bitch for us to get up in there and simply install (4) bolts. Next project is to install the wiring harness as you did. And I want to do the same as you. I don't want the stuff where you pull the wires out of the spare tire when you need it, and stuff it back when you don't. Anyhow, thank you! (I may go with a different brand wiring harness but I suppose they're all the same? Your thoughts?

have you tried connecting to the mytoyota app ,eventhough you choose Hybrid only mode ,it shows up as using the EV in the app reports ,not sure if this is a bug in the software or an actual issue with the vehicle

Winter tires are directional so you never rotate them from left to right. You just rotate them from front to back. And all seasons may be similar. They have an outside edge and a direction of rotation.

Go to CableWarden and purchase a cover that fits over the assembly. I did this last week. I believe it's the only solution that will work. The tape is a super bad idea. You can spray ACF50 on the exposed area and put dielectric grease on the rubber gasket. Then enclose it with a CableWarden box.

You should check your oil level when it is level on the ground. When the car is on the ramps, the angle is not level and the dipstick reading may not be accurate.

I have a XLE Premium with the regular Fog lights, but I want to upgrade to the LED. So do I need a new harness or can I use the existing and just swap out to the LED housing?

The fronts wear faster than the rear. When rotating tires, you want to move the front tires to the back.

Thanks for making this vid, I thought this was the most useful one of all the ones out there. Others say to remove the splash shield, definitely no reason to do that, going by feel was super easy. I did what someone else did and marked the position of the bolt and tensioner, and counted the number if revolutions. New belt when on with perfect tension that way.

Perfect review, I just got it today. everything is perfect except the dress and left back leg. Other than that its a really good quality for a low price figure.

20:28 That screw doesn't go in the top hole of the mudguard. 16:38 Remember you took out one of those push in fastners earlier , that goes back thru the mud guard and into the top hole. 28:30 The front is much easier then the rear , but you should of turned the steering wheel to give yourself much more room to install the screws.

Toyota wants you to change the oil every 10k miles, just long enough till the warranty runs out. After that, you have a greater chance of building up sludge in the engine that they won't cover. Change it more frequently.

Slight typo on the tundra and prime fuel economy comparison. SAVE $4750 with the prime and SPEND $2000 more with the tundra. About a $6750 difference lol Absolutely wild that they suggested that mount and balance.

This problem was first seen in Quebec (harsh winters) in winter 21-22. One guy had a 2019 Hybrid Rav4 failure at 120 000km at HWay speed. The car's dash started flashing. Towed to the dealer, 6800$ HV cable replacement !!!! He complained to Toyota Canada this had no sense. Toyota Canada offered a Non Disclosure Agreement in exchange for 2/3 discount on the repair price... Jean-Thomas Landry, the unhappy victim said : NO way ! If you're trying to hide this problem, it NEEDS to be published for future owners to KNOW... Soon enough I found online is Facebook group and decided to help out. I was also a victim of the Cablegate in June 2022 and we decided to publish this issue to the widest audience possible, getting MEDIAS involved all over Quebec and Canada and soon enough Americans form the NorthEast and the Midwest started to contact us because they also had issue with corroded HV cable. Now in spring 2024, Europe owners are also getting stuck with long term corrosion of the HV cable... it took only longer for the time effect to create an issue because they have little or no snow. Que tal bro no se me ocurrió más que preguntarte a ti jajaja como buen seguidor que soy, se que trabajaste en la Toyota has sabido algo del llamado cable gate para la rav4 híbridas ya que mencionan que al pasar el tiempo el cable que va por abajo agarra corrosión dañando el sistema y reparar es carísimo vi en un video en CZcams en donde lo cubren como especie de cinta aislante y con amarras no se si hacerlo o peor aún la Toyota va tomar eso para no darme la garantía de fábrica saludos
