I had the opportunity to work on a play called Indeo with this beautiful man. It was during the World Assembly of Indigenous People in 1982 in Regina Saskatchewan. We would run into each other from time to time over the years on the pow wow trail. We missed an opportunity to work on some music together that Kevin was willing to help me put together in my own Nehiyaw (Cree) language. I saddened to hear of his passing. So long my wonderful friend, until we meet again along the milky way.

I don't agree with the bipolar statement that we are "either part of the solution or part of the problem". We are on a spectrum. So one person might be 10% part of the problem and 90% part of the solution whilst another might be the opposite and others are spread out on the spectrum. Plus, we don't always know that what we are doing is part of the solution or problem. There are changes in thinking that mean what I thought was a solution is now deemed part of the problem. Even then things aren't black and white e.g. I might buy an electric car to be part of the 'solution' when I am at the same time perpetuating injustice against child and/or slave labour in the mining of the rare earth metals like Lithium.
Yes that’s a good point, perhaps it’s better looked at as a relative issue rather than a duality. Basically the ideal situation is that education is adequate to enable the individual to discern the perspectives of an action/s and it’s implications. That’s why creating societies which don’t think for themselves becomes a great injustice.
