Canadian National Trains at Slinger and Allenton WI June 2 2024
These videos were shot by a friend with his new DJI Mavic Pro drone. He takes a slightly lower perspective on a couple of the trains. The first train is southbound at Slinger Road in Slinger WI. The other two were also southbound at Hillcrest Dr in Allenton WI. The CN was busy that Sunday morning. The audio is original. Not sure what happened with the recording on the first two trains. My phone was not being normal.

On Thursday June 20 2024 I had the chance to catch the Delaware-Lackawanna Alcos on there trip south to Pocono Summit PA from Scranton. The key is to get to Scranton early enough to make you know what direction the train is going. On that day 3 big Alcos were heading south. We caught a M630(ex GE Alco Upgrade Demo), C630 and C636. Just after the steel train an eastbound stack train made a turn and headed south at Fostoria. Audio was recorded from my truck near the shelter.

Caught an interesting train at Fostoria OH on Sunday June 16 2024. The unit train was carrying steel ingots of some kind. It also had empty cars on the rear of the train. The train come south and then headed west on the connection track. Any information on the train would be great. Thank You

CSX Eastbound takes the connection track at Deshler to head south on Sunday June 16 2024. The train passes the classic signals just south of the diamond. Plenty of wheel squeal as it goes around the curve. The audio was recorded on a cellphone in the shelter at the park.
CSX Intermodal Westbound at Fostoria OH

Visited Fostoria OH recently. Caught a few trains at the diamond. Very nice setup with the shelter for railfans and others. The westbound intermodal train crossed the diamond while a westbound was waiting to use the interchange track to head south.

While heading to LaCrosse WI to catch the CP #2816 we decided to stop in New Lisbon WI and check things out. With the drone up in the air already we caught a westbound train there. Interesting place with the wye. Also a very busy place at one time with Milwaukee road trains meeting there. The sound is not original but drone video without sound is boring

While heading west to catch the Canadian Pacific #2816 we decided to stop and check out Tunnel City WI as a possible spot for shooting the #2816. We got lucky and caught the Empire Builder #7 going into the tunnel. The west portal is not accessible anymore due to a Frac sand mine. Sound was recorded from my truck near the crossing
WSOR T4 Duplainville WI Southbound with Military Loads

On Saturday May 25 2024 Wisconsin Southern WSOR T4 train made a later morning appearance at Duplainville WI. The train had a long string of flat cars on the rear from Oshkosh truck with new military vehicles. Unfortunately I was having some issues with the drone at the time and the quality might not be the best. Sound was recorded from my location at the Weyer Road crossing

On Sunday May 19 2024 Amtrak #7 the Empire Builder had the new Amtrak Borealis train in tow on its way to St Paul MN. The Borealis is a new train running between Chicago and St Paul. The new service will start on Tuesday May 21 2024. This will be the first time since 1981 that there has been two trains running between Chicago and St Paul. On Monday May 6 2024 the Canadian Pacific #2816 "The Empress" was heading eastbound on the CP tracks through southern Wisconsin to Bensenville IL. Here the train passes through one of the busiest spots in southeastern Wisconsin, Duplainville. Here the CPKC crosses the Canadian National at a diamond just east of the roadway. The audio is taken from a video camera recording down on the road.

Just caught the Canadian Pacific #2816 crossing the Wisconsin River in Wisconsin Dells, WI. Sorry about the wires but we had just changed batteries in the drone before the train showed up. Sound is from a video camera on the bridge.
