@carlosmiguelangelcarrasco9263 its definitely possible, and i have been using almiraj a long time before this list. I just wasnt using it all that much, and knightmare phoenix kept comming up, so wanted to swap it. Consistency wise it definitely makes sence though

I wanted to bait out the ritual, but with Sera and Holeutea there wasn't anything I could make that was going to 100% bait it. I needed to go S:P Little Knight for that, so I kept the important cards for my One For One combo. And SP needs 2 effect monsters, which Holeutea isn't. So I went Sera, but he already decided to trigger it there. I don't know what would've been better for him to be honest.

@iiboda2577 i guess you could just look at my nationals decklist. It hasnt been that long ago that i got to use that. Otherwise i could make another list, but with the banlist so close I dont know what good it'll still do for now? @Balila_balbal_loki i know the ragnaraika combos with this, no worries 👍 😉 And while i appreciate what raika and rikka does for extra power in the combos, i have a strong believe that if you want that, you're better off playing the generic plant deck instead of traptrix, since it is way more consistent and powerful as opposed to traptrix. I even have a 1 card combo that ends on amazing boards with ragnaraika, but extra deck space is retarded tight and you add a couple more "bricks" to the deck, so less room for handtraps, which i feel is the necessity from this format. Thx for commenting and trying to help me around. My ragnaraika build is also coming online soon (i hope, im still waiting on the last card, coming in the mail) ^.^ I kinda like these interactions and talking about the deck :)

I often only need 1 or max 2 discards for Droplet. I know the matchup pretty good by now, and it's really tricky to know what to hit, and what not xD But yea, I like Droplet. Its more in there for other matchups, but in general its great.

@@HammyRead i mean, this was a combo video to showcase the adding of skipper and fiendsmith :/ The entire purpose of those is to get out the traptrix combo safely and more consistently 🤔

@@matsuba4230 played shifter in the past, was never good, so i quit playing that. Only have had good results since then. Droll is a good card, but seeing it vs snake eye or tenpai wont change their end board, or the fact they'll otk you. I rather have interactive handtraps, i always have :) My only reason for playing droll at all, is because there are ftk decks roaming about -.- I dont think ragnaraika is "bad", but i just feel pure is better because it alows for more room to play more handtraps

True, but ragnaraika plays way more engine, so less options for your handtraps. Basically every game you'll lose the dieroll, you put yourself in terrible odds. It's the reason I stay at a pure list. Soon I'll release my ragnaraika list as well though :) Just waiting for 1 card in the mail xD xD xD

That's not true at all. Yes you play more engine, that's the point, traptrix has a strong control game on its own but there are no 1 card combos, this list is very generic I wouldn't say pure, it's good it's what I was playing or atleast similar before I moved to plants for a while, ragnaraika gives you the option to otk much easier gives you destruction and a negate on your endbord with just opening the regular two card combos, and gives you a one card combo. All I'm saying is it's much better and makes more sense in my opinion especially since aracnocampa locks you out of half your extra deck, in my opinion.

Formud Skipper + 4 handtraps is kinda nuts though if it goes through xD To many handtraps is hardly ever a downside. I went to nationals with a similar build. Lost 1 game on having to many non-engine. And you woud be surprised how good Sera + Trap is backed up with handtraps, if you know how to use those handtraps

Requiem summons from deck or hand, so its all fine, though having another handtrap is off course better

Garden aditional summon first, mantis search myrmeleo. Make sera, summon myrm, get gravediggers, set holeutea. Holeutea, sera summons dioneia, get back gravediggers. If the opponent doesnt nib you here, they dont have it. Make pinguicula with holeutea and dioneia. Detach holeutea add arachnocampa. Field eff, banish sera to summon mantis. Mantis eff bounce gravediggers (so they dont know where you set it if you have something else to set, and so dioneias banishing eff doesnt happen). Mantis+myrmeleo into I:P if you are not up vs tenpai. If you know its tenpai, make bagooska. Special arachnocampa, make sera. Set all backrow. If they have lightning storm or duster you have holeutea+arachno in grave for protection. If they dont have that, myrmeleo in grave is an extra disruption

I know, i rly want that as well. But im in the middle of moving out, so my free sunday each week is kinda swamped for now. So i cant get to locals. And i wasnt allowed to record on nationals. My name was up for debate for a feature match however, but they chose someone else at the end sadly 😆

I think the Raika variant is really cool, and it has a higher ceiling + a better grind game. BUT you lose so easy to some handtraps, which just sucks so much. Especially Nibiru, Droll and Shifter hurt really bad, and you can't really set up a negate for Evenly Matched as well. Those are all cards that are going to come up next format so it's going to be hard for the deck. I was thinking of releasing my own raika list soon, so if you are interested I can try to speed up that video a bit, but I am missing a couple cards for it though.

You should not lose to red dragon archfiend. I play traptrix and I also have a friend that plays that deck. Just flood gate trap hole whatever tuner they bring out with rafflesia. Use imperm, effect veiler, bottomless, or trap hole nightmare on their red rising dragon.

Traptrix always has had a couple issues battling it out vs combo wombo decks. If you know you'll face those decks, you can definitely change up the non-engine for the deck, and maybe do a different approach. To get how I combo with Traptrix, it might be better to watch some of my dueling videos from my locals. Really easy to see how I play :)

if you really want a budget version without those specific cards, you'd probably have to go more trap based. Make sure to see more engine (maybe 1 more pudica, 1 dioneia and maybe even a vesiculo), and add more trapholes to even out. For extra deck, maybe stuff like the knightmares can give you some more going second options. Phoenix + Unicorn seems a good replacement

I have a proper disliking for playing Shifter. I'm sure if you go look at some of my older videos I even give explanations at no end for it. Its activation requirements are just absurd. Can't run Ogre or Veiler anymore which are 2 of the best handtraps in this format. In the past, every time I ran this card, it bit me in the ass, only coming to me as my 6th card for example. And the worst thing, Snake-Eye can actually play through Shifter for at least a good bit which is stupid, if their hand isn't terrible.

Not that many times actually. I only play into it if i have no other choice, otherwise i sometimes stop even if i can extent. I dont think a lot of people were on maindeck nibiru though, but i know at least of 2 situations where i read my opponent having nib, and i purposely played around it, and they revealed the nib later

I don't see what being European has to do with it haha Yes I have used Ragnaraika before. You die to handtraps way faster, and you can't run as much non-engine. In testing I lost way more ground to all the decks in the format with raika, and with this, it actually went really well.

it is indeed a bigger answer, and I plan on tackling some of these questions in the "in depth" video. Siding patterns are always a big question for every deck, because that is something that makes you a better player. It has so many intricate situations it's actually crazy. Going first, second, what deck did you face, did they have certain teck cards you need to counter, ... But i'll try answering as many as I can in a near-future video :) In general, When going second, things that I often take out is the Traptrix Trap Hole Nightmare, sometimes the prosperities, the parallel exceeds, and if i side in anything that specials itself (bystials, nib, phantazmay) then i also take out the fenrirs. I usually don't take out engine pieces, because the engine is already low. (The TCBOO almost always went out) Check what handtraps don't work vs your opponent, and swap those out vs others that help. I sided out Mourners often going first or Ogres, just cause the match up isnt that great for them. Prosperity is a bit easier. If I already have combo, I often do that first, then banish 3 in hopes of any handtrap. If you dont have combo or need to break a board, go for 6 What to banish might be a bit more difficult, but I mosly try to go through my plays in my head and just banish whatever I certainly won't need. The End Board I made most often (when no handtraps): Masquerena in EMZ, Rafflesia, Pinguiculla and a Sera + 1Trap +2Handtraps+field spell+Holeutea in grave with Arachnocampa + either Pudica or Myrmelleo. Sometimes I swapped up the end board, if I knew I needed Redoer or Bagooska

Tcboo was only in there because i expected a lot of tenpai and melodious. I only saw it twice, and didnt need to use it
