te denken dat er 2 antwerpenaren in het paneel zitten gekend om hun"oa" accent en hun stereotype de westvlaming is gekend om boerenonverstaanbaar en limburgers zingen maar oostvlaming is zoals xander derijcke al zei nooit iets ...toch wel volgens de antwerpenaren kun je ze verstaan "mor ze woenen oep den boite"

@dhcars If its Scania, its most likely opticruse. Scania does have an Allison option but I bet you they don't endorse it for anything other than trash trucks. If your company is looking to purchase another truck, make sure you tell the purchaser to look into the Allison option. I am sure if you push your Scania dealer, they will give you more info.

@lordtaw Do you know what they put in the new Scania's? Now I drive a R420 semi-automatic, it still sucks, but it's a lot better than the one in the P270. We bought some G440 full automatic now, the drivers who got them say it's a lot better, but I don't know what gearbox they put in.

If you want a smooth automatic, go for the Allison option. In the US, just about every automatic gearbox is an Allison and for a good reason, you cant kill them and they shift smoothly.

@dhcars Ha ha.. yep our Boss's must be ralated.. what country are you from ? Im from Denmark.. The trucks I drive are winch trucks - you know for lifting containers, we mostly only drive local containers from dumping places to the recycling plants.. Today I only drove 170 km's.. I would like to get a job with some longer hauls..

@dhcars : Sometimes I drive the old "girl" in our company its an 94d 260.. I know its a small engine, but you know what, its runs do damn god, has the 8 gear manual box and the 6 cylinder sound.. and a whole lot more soul than a new truck.. the color is faded from te sun, there are holes in the seats, squeeking sunds on bumpy roads but the old girl just has the "thing".. hehe...

I drive one to, I hate that crappy automatic gearbox.. I think these new scanias are rather "girly" ...I like oldschool trucks, with manual gears and ROOOOAAARRR with smoke! :-)
