@robertcalifornia3267 you're in america and I'm in Australia we don't get the full range of reels here. There's some reels we never see here

@@australisfishing if it’s a spinning reel, it’s interchangeable. I have a lot of fishing reels. Some are from the 70’s-80’s and others are brand new. I have never seen a spinning reel that wasn’t interchangeable. I’d be more impressed if you showed me one that didn’t have this feature.

That's where you hold it so that it is easy to manage and also cast with it on smaller rods.

A balance point is where a rod and reel has least resistance and with smaller rods you can hold them at that balance point and rest it on your finger. This healps with your fatigue if you're fishing all day.

There's only a few places you get them. They're usually not very big because everyone keeps them. In the south of the state at certain times of the year you cat h the blue spot flathead when they co.e in close up to a metre long

Got to fish the right sort of ground. There are a couple of really good flathead spots that ate further out and you need to be able to distance cast to get to them

If I did that I would need a boat. In winter you catch beautiful whiting in shark Bay. Unfortunately too many meat fishers go there
